Ok, I bought Fahrenheit, and Earth 2160 recently, and neither of them feel like value for money. Fahrenheit is really short, and Earth 2160 has a terrible multiplayer.
Last game I bought, that I really appreciated, was Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Extremely enjoyable and it lasted a while too.
What was the last game you bought that was worth the money?

Yeah, online games do tend to feel like they are worth it because they generally last longer. Unless it's some uber single player game like morrowind.

gta san andreas
and hell no it wasnt worth the money. maybe just maybe if they come out someday with a worthwhile mod for it or a patch that makes it feel like its better than the last 2 gtas, till then its gathering dust. these days money is tight so im alot more choosey. next purchase might either be aoe3 or civ4, depending which catches my interest most.
edit: forgot the which one was worth the money part... temple of elemental evil. even tho its 2d and had some bugs, has 100x the replayability of most other games these days.

FM2005 for me...wasnt even worth half of it, it felt more like a buggy beta that piece of shit. I definetely WON'T buy FM2006 when it comes out, but if it's not buggy like 05 i will buy it afterwards...seems fair to me

Mount & Blade beta/license
http://www.taleworlds.com/
Indie developer, and game is far from complete. But I HAD to pay the $12 to remove the level 6 experience cap. The battles are so much fun, the way MMO combat could, and should be. I spent about twelve hours in a row playing in the arena alone, and I never marathon game.
I recommend DL'ing and giving it a shot.

Ah lets see what have I paid money for..
Space Rangers 2: Dominators. Finally found a place to purchase this and it was worth every penny. Awesome awesome game. Turn based space game with real time planet battles combined with text based quests on planets. I got arrested and put in jail for 70 days. I actually had to play out the 70 days..working out in the gym, working for the prison, being a snitch, sucking up to other inmates, etc. The trading, combat, etc are just great. Don't bother looking to download it unless you know russian. The english version just doesn't seem to work right.
Battlefield 2: Just bought a legal key, most everyone knows what its about. Is it worth it? Depends... I already owned Joint Operations and its EP. As a game I enjoy JO more. The combat/vehicles and 150 player games are just awesome, but not as many people play it because BF2 has shinier graphics, its a shame.
TS2: NL: Again, just a key, mainly for my wife, but honestly even the $12 cdn I paid for it was too much. Maxis is living purely on reputation. THeir coding and optimization sucks. I've seen dead people code better.
That's it for recent purchases I think.

Splinter Cell: CT, worth every penny.
Boiling Point, kinda (based on time spent on it).
GTA:SA, definately worth it!
Next gonna be Hammer & Sickle and F.E.A.R
and I guess (or it seems atleast at the moment) that they´ll be worth it

Theres too many games that feel like daylight robbery after you've played them. I really hate that feeling.

I can name plenty. Baldur's Gate 2 was the first one worth the cash, since then.. Doom 3, HL2, NHL06, all the MM's I've played so like... Anarchy Online, Everquest, Everquest 2, Asheron's call, Planetside, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, Shadowbane.. but the best bang in amongst all those games was my addiction.. Asheron's Call. Started playing when I was 13, and played until I was 17.
Diablo 2, Warcraft 3 and Starcraft are all on there too.

Doom III came bundled with my graphicscard so i guess i bought it. And it was all pretty fun!
Previous to that the only game i ever bought was quake II and that kicked ass!
Of all the things i've lost, i miss my mind the most!
