That is a great news. Never really liked Desmond and the modern storyline anyway. If I'll get around to play AC4 I'll definitely skip those.
You have my +1
Every time I'm starting to have some fun (doesn't happen very often with these games, but still ), here comes the usual anticlimactic real-life!11 sequence with useless dialogues, cocky characters, barely no gameplay and the same old "OMG templars are coming, what do we do now! Plant this! sabotage that! Make it quick!" drama.
This time I'll be a pirate till the end, with no silly distractions
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

I can't believe they actually implemented a proper damn free aim. Ubi are you crazy? Better late than never eh.
I'm quite impressed, that looks so much better and more entertaining than AC3 in my opinion.
There's more freedom, different strategies/approaches to kill a target unlike AC3 (at least in the level shown in the video), boats that are finally useful (not relegated only to the 'battles' context), and I like the open natural environments a lot.
If the main protagonist is charismatic and not an amoeba like Connor , it's gonna be noice.
