Skies of Arcadia is, hands down, one of my absolute favourite games --- but I much prefer the Legends release on the Gamecube, not only for the improved visuals and additional content, but it's easier to emulate and play on Dolphin since the discovery method of the Chams was made much easier. No more VMU display and beeping, now the controller rumbles and you get an onscreen notification when you get close Smile Not to mention the #1 improvement; LOWERED COMBAT ENCOUNTER RATE. Holy shit, I love SoA but the encounter rate on the DC is brutal.

NO

However, in order to fit on the single GameCube disc, the music in Legends is lower quality than in the Dreamcast version.

Legends, as well as the original English-language Dreamcast version, has stronger censorship of mature content. All traces of cigarettes are removed, shops serve Loqua juice instead of alcohol, and one female character's attire is altered to be less revealing.

Why emulate when you could have the glorious Dreamcast.

Strokes his Dreamcast gently So Much Win

On a more serious note never even knew there was a gamecube release. Don't know much about N64/GC Smile

YES.

Don't fuck me with over Skies of Arcadia, sonny Razz The music quality is lower so it fits on one disc but everything else is improved. The censorship is IDENTICAL across Gamecube and EN-DC releases. An "undub, lolz" won't fix anything because it's not the VA in SoA that was censored. The censorship is VISUAL and TEXTUAL and no, there's no "undub, lolz" that fixes that. The English release is censored, period. So I'd rather take the Gamecube with it's faster loading, improved models, improved lighting, expanded content, TWO EXTRA CHARACTERS, lower encounter rate, higher experience gain and a much more intuitive Cham collection minigame.

This is from someone that physically owns Skies of Arcadia on both DC and Gamecube.

What? You mean the ONE game out of the SERIES? It was only MK1-SNES that was censored, the rest were full-gore enabled.
