We have Lidl here. It used to be a lower budget store but now it is aspiring to be somehow luxurious with commercials and cooking lessons from one of polish better masterchef.

Used to shop in Netto all the time, seeing as they stocked most of the brand name products I wanted cheaper than anywhere else. Then they sold their stores to Ugo and Asda
Sometimes go in Lidl. Seems pretty much the same, but less brands and more fucked up Scandinavian shit. Those processed sausages

across the street from where i live is a normal supermarket and a lidl. the funny thing is, things like meat are of a much better quality at the lidl than the other local supermarkets, not to mention alot cheaper.
I get my meat and most of my beverages there, love their orange juice lol

What supermarket is there then? Certainly not AH then.
Because AH > Aldi and LIDL when it comes to meat quality..
Plus if you actually pay proper attention to discounts etc, you can shop just as cheap at the AH.

Thanks to Lidl Aldi increased there quality over here. I visit neither of them, for my cheapo groceries I go to Penny which is miles better than both and even features some products that the bigger REWE do not have. (Plus rewe's own stuff is always really shitty! Suck on that xali)

You mean those JA! products?
They really suck compared to other "discount brands",the buyable JA! productline starts and ends with mozzarella

Yeah, JA! stuff sucks! Surprisingly all the stuff by Penny themselves is really really good
I also dislike the Gut & Günstig stuff by Edeka. Really not good :/

They have many products that literally suck, along with some good ones/deals. You need to be smart and outplay them, so going there with someone who is experienced and can give you useful feedback/advices is very recommended |
You ruin my view of Italians with each post man! Stop it!!
I have a Lidl 5 min walk away, but I will gladly travel 25 min in train to shop in a Italian foodshop.
Lidl is fine if all you have is a microwave and dentures. |
lol! I blame the crisis mate
Seriously though, very rarely I visit that place, and when it happens that I buy food from there, it's just for cheap juices, snacks and some types of homemade pasta that don't suck.
As for proper pasta, meat, salumi, cheese and the rest, I have my own quality groceries.

I got used to LIDL when getting fruit and pasta and cheese (and related products). Also some sweets, and their own mineral water (which is really cheap and does taste good). I like their themed weeks - eg. italian week with different pastas, spices, potato sauces...

I like Lidl for their themed goods, like cycling t-shirts and the like, pretty cheap. They're obviously not made from the newest and most advanced materials, but they do their job. There's also some better quality stuff under their own brand, cycling helmets were made by Cratoni for example (cost 50PLN, the same model with Cratoni logo 220PLN). Can't say anything about the food quality, I go there mostly for pistachios, cottage cheese and fresh fruit.

some imitation of real brands are really tasty, but other type of food are just junk.
i usually go there when i want to load up with candies, chips and stuff like that, thanks to the wide range of price and junk food i like!
