i was never interested in "story missions" in this one - main thing is Total War-ish conqest and not story crap IMO (3 missions for story on top of that is OK for me)

Three missions, hmm there's four factions according to the MP mode in the beta so I guess it relates to that with the player being human and then taking the three other countries?
(For me it's just a little extra before Divinity Original Sin though so I'm not too bothered by it.)

Preloading now...can't wait.

Hope it's some kind of a misunderstanding regarding the SP campaign.
In the videos I get the impression that it takes time to conquer other countries and setting up your troops etc.
But if the game is short, then at least you can play it multiple times with different allies. Razz

oh i see now:
There are two ways of experiencing the campaign of Divinity: Dragon Commander: by playing the developer-created story-based campaign or by creating a custom one, which gives players more options related to maps and princesses.

so that story campaign is just tutorial similar what are tutorial ones in TW games

Another rewiews:
Softpedia - 9/10
hardcoregamer.com - 4/5
entertainmentbuddha.com - 8,5 buddhas/10

good to be right that "story" campaign is some sort of tutorial

No mistake here. About single:
-total linear
-one ending
-only one choice in sp campany (who you gonna marriage)
-some separately scenarios (but not great either)

No Overlord mode here then where you can just choose all of them? Very Happy
(I forgot exactly how it worked but Overlord 2 had some mechanic that caused a effect like that.)

EDIT: Or maybe it's like ME1 where it can be suggested but won't work out favorably. Razz

This ISN'T Total War though, so I don't know why you keep comparing it. Total War != Dragon Commander.

from the Larian Forum: "GOG will only unlock those keys once the game is live. Hang on to them, they will work tomorrow."

Aww I thought the game had a great single-player campaign with different outcomes depending on the choices/relations with the characters. If it's really that short and linear, colour me very disappointed. :<

The only strategy games that I like are the story-driven ones Sad (apart from SimCity and the likes).

The strategy part is one thing and I know I kinda suck at RTS gaming but I didn't know I was so bad at politics either.

One of the (female) generals complain that wages between men and women differ so I have to do something about that, later on elves want to smoke narcotics with healing properties while the dwarves and undead want it banned and after that the other female general wants to allow homosexuality.

Should have started on a lower difficulty perhaps since I lost fairly quickly but it was fun. Very Happy

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
