well, if you play on hardest difficulty, apple n execute is disabled and then you just go and pretend there is no cover system, then it might play like a splinter cell.

Soooo...
I started playing on Realistic to fuck around because I thought it would be easy and I wanted to play Perfectionist on PC.
It wasn't easy.
I got ganged banged quite a few times, I tried the Panther approach (again, just to fuck around) on the first mission and it bit my ass quite a few times, I underestimated the AI.
Even when the light on your back shines, you're still very much visible as soon as they get not that close (10-15 metres maybe?)
Once you get detected and the enemies gang up on you there is little to no chance of escape.
ATM I'm playing the second mission as a Ghost this time, apart from a forced sniper thing where you need to kill a bunch of dudes I haven't killed a single soul, and at my last checkpoint the game said I left 17 hostiles undisturbed.
I also love that the patterns in the patrols are randomized and that the AI finally reacts to their buddies going missing.
So far I like it very much, I'll post some more after I finish the second mission stealthily

That's a damn shame, classic SC "hiding in darkness few steps from unaware guard" has been replaced with hugging cover and avoiding guard's line of sight altogether.

Alright, that sounds good.
EDIT: Just a quicky question, is it possible to knock out those guards around Kobin without them being alerted ? (Pretty much only option fast enough that I can think of is sticky shock them all with MaE or open the door and throw sleeping gas)

Yeah, you can M&E them with the shocker, open the door and throw sleeping gas... And I'm pretty sure you can whistle behind the corner near the room and they'll hear it too

Not sure how the fact that you can stealth through mission can be changed in two weeks, there are forced action sequences, but you never have to kill anybody

You're not the only one, but the first game had them too, CT as well.

We should start betting on exactly when Neon will go back from defending the game to saying he bought it just to make fun of it on YT. |
He is still defending the AC craps...

But he's an authentic fan of the AC series. I never saw him mentioning he would buy it to make fun of it.

4treyu wrote: | Well, Neon, can you name any negatives about the game? So I can give more credibility to your impressions? |
While the AI is really good, it does have some stupid moments... The dogs seem very OP too, they detect you from very far away and they drag all the guards behind them as well
The forced action sequences are stupid of course.
Also you can't holster your weapon which just looks stupid (Sam KOs people with his gun holstered though)
Voice acting on Grim is really good, Briggs is awful, Sam is OK/meh.
savov wrote: | are the interrogations of some of the guards. Is this possible here? |
Nope, Sam interrogates different people in cutscenes and you get to decide whether or not to kill them.
Quote: | and are there any dialogs between the guards, or are everyone just shouting "come out, Fisher!" |
Plenty of dialogues from the guards, some of them different if you restart checkpoint etc.
Also lots of dialogues during missions between Sam and Grim, quite humorous as well.
