This game is way too clunky for my tastes.. why is the base so giant? you have to walk around ages to get missions, buy stuff, upgrade etc. And loading screens every 20 seconds..
Iv just completed the game, and WOW... why couldn't the other LO games be like this?
The TPS combat is smooth, the game is open world, there are quite a lot of upgrades for your rig and weapon unlocks. The missions are pretty cool and the atmosphere pretty dark at times, you get some horror game vibes from time to time.
I think they did a great job on making the missions interesting. There are also side missions ofc. no boring repetitive ones as devs love to stretch out the time.
Minus: Gale(important character) is annoying as hell. Fast travel only seem to be available when the game tells you it is.
Anyways the story is just
Finally a game with some awesome plot twists again
8/10 (yeah, thats right...) Completed in one sitting, 8-9 hours.

Guys, the developer of LP3 "Spark Unlimited" responsible for two of the worst games this generation
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty(IGN 5/10 , GameSpot 4.5/10 )
Legendary (IGN 2.5/10 , GameSpot 3.5/10 )
So you pretty much know what to expect from this crappy developer
I only played a little and so far i find it pretty generic... Even Derp Space 3 played better to me. Gameplay seems awkward, and graphically Derp Space 3 seems nicer.
But, i'm not wowed at all. It doesn't seem shit though, but after 30min, I have enough of it

Im well aware of that, thats why I found it strange this game was so much better AND longer. Legendary was pure shit... Turning Point was somewhat better.
ha so they could not save was LP2 had done about the terraforming and shit ... so they did a prequel to the story like of LP1 and how Snow Pirates came to be
This game has me scratching my head.
So far it is actually good. And good in a totally fucking unique way. Surprise of the last 6 months bar none. So odd.
Too many loading screens is the only thing that really hits me as a negative. I had one really bad FPS drop during the first cutscene then it never happened again.
Also...the voice acting is insanely good. I mean what the hell is going on hahahaha.
The load times everytime u move from one area to another is annoying
I agree with this! :/
Its a minor gripe for a surprisingly good game. I had my doubts for a game developed by Spark Unlimited. I like the new rigs and the game has a grander scale compared to the previous two. The main character could do with some more expressions and life though.

Do I need to play lost planer 1-2 in order to play 3?
Having completed one and two and briefly played three, I would say not at all.
Finished this one today. Took me around 18 hours with most of the side quests and exploring. Nice game I have to say! Despite all the negative comments and reviews, I enjoyed Lost Planet 3. It should have been called Lost Planet Zero though as it is a prequel to the first two games. Sure it was clunky with, I have to say some rare framerate issues on my PS3 and the loading times were a bit much. The game itself is nothing like Lost Planet 1 and 2. I really like the what they did with it by making it somewhat open world. Felt more like a Metroid game with having to have particular upgrades to access certain areas. The story was good and I really got to like the main character. The videos between him and his wife were a neat touch. I thought the rig was awesome with the various upgrades and giant the Akrid battles were sometimes repetitive but fun! The in-rig music being disabled most of the time was somewhat annoying though lol.
