Payed mine 125€ it was 3 years old and had a revision. Brand was a Bosch. So i'd say don't go too much above that price because mine wasn't even among the cheapest ones. And looked brand new. (My sister was happy to get that one from me when I moved to Sweden ).
*Edit* Well guess if you don't want the trouble to look for another and possible have to drive further... than 200€ would be the maximum I'd give, and you'd still be having it for a decent price.

It has been running for 3 year though which will limit its lifespan. My experience suggests that these kinds of things last forever however modern construction is almost designed with the thought that products will only last 5 year.
It will of cost maybe 300 Euro? Depends on the brand really. I would say 50-100 Euro is fair, but again it depends on the brand.

Will it include some sort of revision like the one in morphineus example?
If not, and if you're going to get it to serve as your "primary" fridge I wouldn't even bother buying a used one.

Oh and minimal signs of use, looking kind of "new"?
Remember that's on the outside mate, and what matters (like in a lot of things) is what is on the inside
Did he clean it regularly?
Why is he selling it to you?

Yeah lowball offers just because they're your friend is a douche move, I wouldn't do that either.

I absolutely suck at making offers.. I feel guilty if I offer too little and end up lowballing, but at the same time I don't want to pay more than I have to, yanno? Honestly.. just ask him how much he wants, if it's too high then haggle a bit I guess.

Plus you can always offer to help with the move unless he did already; that's guaranteed to drop the price and earn you some cold ones.
