Yes, far too long, last pinball i played was old as hell balls of steel...... not counting emulating some tables in VP or Future Pinball.
Your insults will do nothing to blunt the agonies of your demise.

I've got all PP games, thou some of them won't work anymore due to the FUCKING COMPATIBILITY (W7 here)...Wish they do the right job here...and release this...

Firstly, I think that the GOG version of the Pro Pinball trilogy still works (each table is its own individual game still, btw).
I've been playing a ton of pinball on the 360 (Williams Pinball Classics, Pinball FX2, etc.). And I believe that there was a version of Pro Pinball for the OG Xbox as well.
I've been considering building a video pinball table to match my TRON M.A.M.E. cabinet and, if this actually happens, I'll be pulling that 50" plasma (that I got for free ) off the wall and going to work as I already have the interface (my old WinIPAC) and a couple of old thermostats for mercury switches (for TILT functionality) and a 19" LCD monitor (for backboard display). The only thing I'll need to acquire is a DMD (dot-matrix display) for the score, bonuses, minigame, etc. display.
How can I be so excited for this?

Englishmen Zombie: REFRAAAAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNSSSSS
Thanks for the idea Lutz!

Interesting that there's no mention of Pat Lawlor in their second effort. And also interesting that in their first Kickstarter they were looking for $400,000 and got $175k pledged, now they're only asking for £40k ($62,360). That's quite the scaleback.

I'm fairly sure my friend did the music for timeshock. I think he reached out to them about doing it in the reboot, not sure he heard back.

Haven't seen it on the places I'm a member off. Can't say if it might have found its way on usenet or IRC since it has been ages that I used those.

meh just read about some online drm for the betas, gfx are downloaded only in a specific resolution (according to your display) and you need to be online all the time during the beta... think we wont see anything of that before official (drmfree) release

Quote: | The current version requires you to log in once and be online to download the graphics resolution(s) you want. Once you've done that, there's no need to be online again. If you want, you can copy your user data and graphics to another machine without ever going online. Your user data says which platforms you chose, whether you're a beta tester and whether you have any extras like the gold pinball.
The cabinet update will bring offline installation. That will require you to do some kind of login to get a license file(*) containing your user data. You'll be able to download installable graphics data packages for all the resolutions. You'll then be able to install the game on any machine without ever going online and no need for our servers to still be around.
* Exact details for offline installation won't be certain until it's actually implemented. |
from the official forum two days ago, so some group has to hack the license file before they can release a full version to the web
