Talk about great games. I'm not watching this but the FIBA Americas Championship which is being held in my city. Only Puerto Rico got their ticket for Spain today in a match where they beat our national team by 1 point in OT, after we led them by as much as 22 in the first half Laughing Game is under protest cause J.J. Barea (guy is not human) scored a 3-pointer with the shot clock hitting zero before the ball left his hand, but I'm pretty sure that's not going anywhere Laughing

Anyway, great tournament, very disputed with 5 teams fighting for the other 3 spots (Argentina, Canada, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Venezuela) when there's only 1 gameday left to decide Very Happy

Btw, Brazil was surprisingly eliminated in the first round, I don't recall a World Championship or Olympic Tournament where Brazil was not present. They may still get a wildcard invitation though.

My country is hosting Eurobasket and I'm loving it so far Razz

Yeah so many brilliant games, but also some really weird results, it's impossible to predict anything, which just adds to the excitement.

@Ixi: You must be loving the fact Bargs is not in your team, right? Very Happy

Italy has been playing great and some "outsider teams" have been doing fantastic so its good they upped the number of teams this year. I never thought i'd see Sweden beat Russia by 20 or Turkey going home already.

I'm trying to get tickets for the next stage which is in Ljubljana, which is proving to be quite impossible.

Yeah, it's still early to tell but Italy so far is probably the biggest surprise of the tournament..completely unexpected since the team is quite new and the "NBA stars" (meh Razz) are all injured, as well as Hackett and others.
Thankfully we have a super experienced coach who's managed to construct a solid team from nothing. Smile (well, almost.. there are Datome and Belinelli, plus some talented youngsters like Gentile)

Yes!! Laughing Without them silly superstars the team is playing a lot better Razz

(inb4 the magic disappears and we get trashed as usual, it's inevitable xD )

@4treyu Sounds awesome, wish I could watch that one as well!

I think Belinelli benefited a lot from playing in a hardworking team such as the Bulls last season, where he even got pretty nice minutes, hopefully he plays at San Antonio as well. Yeah, too bad for Hackett, wanted to see him play.

We managed to mess up a 13 point lead in the 3rd against Croatia yesterday Crying or Very sad

Congrats, well deserved Razz. I'm not even mad, I knew that our team couldn't keep that insanely good physical condition for more than one week. Laughing

Thankfully Slovenia with super Dragic won against Grecia so we're not out.. yet Razz

So close, and yet so far...
Our team played marvellously for 3 quarters, then something really unexplainable happened. 5 minutes without scoring a single point, and 0-15 o.O Then the reaction, but it was already too late. Razz

So..Lithuania vs Tony Parker is the final. Razz I'd say well deserved after all.

Italy lost again, and we probably won't even participate to the next world cup, oh well!
