This game is good actually. Combat is mehhish but the gameplay seems to be varied enough between the mech suit, combat and just pissing about the base. However the writing and voice acting is very good. Haven't gotten to the meat of the story yet but so far it's been enjoyable. Some nice and memorable characters too which unfortunately have become a rarity in todays action games.
I'm a bit lost out here. So the FLT release is plagued with this low quality video as well?
*ahem*
Yes. I'm on the FLT release and the quality of the default videos is quite atrocious. You can find the HD ones on cs.rin (uploaded by demde)

Good game overall, quite atmospheric and beautiful...although the story was your typical evil corporate stuff.
Spark did redeem themselves somewhat in my book.
Now on to Blacklist...
i was just finished blacklist and started today LP3..i guess we are changing shifts
played very few minuts of the LP3, but i love it already
the first 3h are a pain in the ass in LP3 , there are fetch quests ... and the loading times in those arenas/maps are horrible ... but push though after he fixes the Antenna and gets a Harpoon Hook for his mech and you find the lost space ship deep in a show cavern ... then this game really picks up [every review i just quickly glance gives this game low score just for this, pricks i say PRICKS ... same was with Binary Domain another excellent game with slow painfull start ]
and try to use something different that country music in those mechs
I'm gonna trust you on this one! I'll resume my playthrough tomorrow (I was ~4 hours in)..hopefully the game will get better, because the first 3 hours were truly discouraging to say the least.
i have strange issue with the game and i wonder if anyone els came across this problem:
take a look at this vid at 08:11 :
now, in the video he can cross the beam, there is no problem and in my case, when i am trying to cross, i just cant...the guy stuck on the first step and can't go on
anyone els or any solution?
i tried to load the last check point and even the one befor, but still the same crap:(
actually I also enjoyed this game. felt d really atmospheric..
It is really really good. Atmospheric and graphics are fantastic. Underrated

Well fuck this. The game broke down on me. Completed an objective and the game reverted back to a previous objective. Got killed and the game started at the same spot only that my character was floating with his hands and legs stretched out. When I exited the area I got teleported back to the beginning of the level. Also by this point the game had managed to write over both of the autosave slots. So when I load them I start at the beginning of the level, still floating, once I got through a door all the objectives seem to reset and also the character's animations return, so I figured I just have to play through a few bits again but no such luck since the character gets stuck once I go through a specific door. Can't be arsed to replay the 9 hours of progress I had so fuck this game. If only it had a proper save system...
ok, i have found the problem...this computers..always makes life too complicated...well i started to think about anything new i did since i installed the game and the only thing i did was to connect my xbox 360 controller and looks like this was the problem..the way to cross the beam was to use the game pad from some reason, so..disconnected it and game came back to normal

I could send you mine if you want, but I'm not that far into the game (clearing the Security Base, after having defended the camp from the invasion). Still, better than nothing.

First of all... good job at westernizing every fucking IP you own, Capcom! I'm sure this is the way to making your games better. Really.
The intro of the game is so bloody boring... why would you start your game like that?! I don't even know if I like into what they turned Lost Planet or not. They basically went: let's make it like "Tomb Raider". Of course... westernize it first, we don't want our games to have that unique japanese feel anymore! Also, throw some Dead Space in there, apparently that's popular too!
Can we please fucking stop turning every IP into whatever is popular these days, already?! PLEASE?! Can we have that?!
Also, whoever made the rebinding of keys such a pain in the ass needs to go and bang his head against a wall. I know what will be cool! Let's break down even the USE action into 10 keys so you can do the USE action from 10 different keys depending on the situation you're in! Oh, and if players want to rebind them, they can only put one action on one key, even though we put like 10 actions on one key! Good thing I can edit that bloody file and make the binding however I want. If that wouldn't have been there I would have instantly uninstalled the game.

Nah it's cool. Already deleted it and moved on to other stuff. Thanks though!
The game is not going for me, I am at the "Search for medicine" mission but when I enter that level the objective is not displayed so I can't do it. Anyone have a save file around there? before or after it doesn't matter for me. This game has some bugs.
Decided to finish the game out of complete boredom, all I can say is that the story was surprisingly good, but the rest..good lord, it was extremely forgettable to say the least. There was no variety whatsoever, no depth, fake freedom, some of the most annoying boss battles that I've ever encountered (with no gameplay involved, everything is QTE-based), what a wasted potential. Just meh.
Try again Spark, at least you went from abysmal games to a mediocre one.. perhaps next time you'll do something decent-ish too.

Westerners are buying the japanese stuff for the flavor. The only stuff that most of us wanted was either for a great dubbing, or japanese VO with english subs. Neither happened. But we got the westernizing....With Capcom leading the pack, though everyone else told them otherwise.
Sega, Square Enix and Capcom are more or less in trouble, firing good people because of poor leadership.
The only stable companies so far seem to be Namco and Koei. With Koei being probably the most stable and less prone to westernizing.
