As Sabin said, you cant really equate worldsize with gamesize but this info concerning the worldsize is pretty good:

That being said, the scope of the world doesnt mean shit if its not populated and well designed. But since its Rockstar, i have full confidence in them.

It's actually disc 1 that needs installing, disc 2 is the "play/online" disc as far as I can tell. As for how? I really don't know, you can always try truncating disc 2 and using it to play while you have the BurnerMAX install for disc 1. Or you could try BurnerMAX on both discs.

I`m ao happy with my iHas burner, its just amazing no more hassle with not be able to install disc.
Best 20 euro spend on a burner.
