Why it says 3GB VRAM required, even tho 7870 has only 2GB? There is 3GB version of GTX 660 tho.

Has this been posted?, cba to browse all pages.

Dat intro music Laughing Anyway, why they show this same shit all over again? It clearly is scripted collapse, starts to look so old already.

Yeah, yeah, watch me! I'm now in a hurry to install Windows 8 ASAP! Laughing

You fool, only with W8 you would be able to use Metro to launch Metro

Seriously, I too am happy with my beloved W7. Fast, reliable and derp-free..it does what it needs to be done, so why should I change it. Better performance on W8? Pffft, we all know that such articles are just marketing Cool Face

Win 8 is shite Troll Face . but it's not the reason I won't be installing it over my beloved win 7 Very Happy which I use only for games whereas Mint for everything else.
Nah, the reason I'm not jumping onto the Windows 8 bandwagon is quite simple, I'd say, it's just that I don't feel like installing all other shit I have installed on win7 again . I'm kinda lazy Smug

Well, it was the leaked RTM a cousin of mine downloaded, but I doubt it's gonna be any different from the final release. The main problem seems to be that it pushes you even more to use the Metro interface with its awkwardness. And the added Start Button that just takes you straight to the Metro screen Laughing Like I said... the horror.

Aaaw, no Ultra for me then if it really needs 3gigs on GPU (well it will still run easily on Ultra, just disable some new option that takes 50% more powah and gives 5% more eye candy Razz). Kinda explains also why the need for 8gigs of RAM, as 3GB VRAM will use 3GB of RAM and OS uses more than 1GB, 4GB is not enough Smile

About time too that game will use more than 2GB of RAM, BF3 still holds the record that I've seen with just over 2GB of memory and like 1.3GB on GPU with my settings.

Heh, needed unblocker to get english specs, but wanted this here as original had that one part hard to understand. Finally more cores needed for AMD in requirements, as the 4-core parts don't compeate with Intel 4-core part to begin with.

Quote:
Recommended System Requirements
    OS: Windows 8 64-bit
    Processor (AMD): Six-core CPU
    Processor (Intel): Quad-core CPU
    Memory: 8 GB
    Hard Drive: 30 GB
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon HD 7870
Graphics card (Nvidia): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
    Graphics memory: 3 GB

Got GTX 660 right and rest wrong, couldn't believe they'd add win 8 there, but seems to be because the use of DX 11.1. HDD I said 25GB that was 25% more than BF3, but seems all the prettier textures took 50% more space. So 2xDVD then? Or as system requirements don't mention DVD-ROM don't tell me I won't get disc at all, just Origin download Sad

I think 3gb of vram is for 1440p like they said here:

"3 GB if you want to play on higher details and resolution of 2560×1440/2560×1600 for a more premium experience."

http://wccftech.com/battlefield-4-pc-system-requirements-officially-revealed-quad-core-cpu-gtx-660hd-7870-recommended-max-settings/

Btw avout D11.1: “We use DX11.1, there are some optimizations in it (constant buffer offsets, dynamic buffers as SRVs) that we got in to the the API that improves CPU performance in our rendering when one runs with DX11.1. This will be in BF4.” DICE

dafuq. It's jsut a scripted sequence. Plenty of those in games. Like even hl2 ep2 had recorded physics of full building getting destroyed at the end.

And as for buildings failing in real time ? edf 2017 Very Happy Laughing

hmmm... I exactly meet recommended system so I guess 15fps for me Laughing

Nah, you'll be fine. Better save the money from DDR2 to the new system some day (or used one, there's always people upgradinng to the latest).

Only thing I noticed from 4GB to 8GB RAM was I could alt+tab from BF3 much better. I've yet to use 5GB ever. Got over 4GB playing BF3, but that was when browser was using 1GB Razz

I believe the second link is not the premium edition but only the premium service If I am reading the description on gmg correctly.

Can you confirm?

You still might be able to manage 1440p with 2gb if you stick your textures on high instead of ultra. No way to know for sure until you try it.

I think the game will be able to picked up for 35 euro's for an eu version + 35 for premium at release.

http://cdkeywatch.com/games/battlefield-4

Here is a link, don't now i've these sites are reliable tough.
I wait for release though, don't want to worry about spending 70 euro's and then pray for a key to be mailed before release. There are no pre order benefits anyway i've you buy premium.

Hey, I just noticed at 4:00 in that video, it says "Assist counts as kill" Nice! So maybe if you do more that 75% damage to an enemy you get the kill, no more of those frustrating kill steals
