Regardless, the initial decision made by the people at the top of the Rockstar pyramid is fucking necromancy.
They're invoking dead spirits (old consoles) instead of creating life (PC) to gain more power ($$). It's terrifying.

True, but consoles have always been around (arguably longer than "gaming" PCs) so there's no escaping the fact that they'll never go away and as long as there's more profit to be made, they'll continue on. I hate it as much as the next man (well, except toni  ) but still, it's not going to change I'm afraid.

Ah valkyria chronicles <3 Had to hunt 2 years for that game. For some reason every fricking store in Belgium I went to didn't have it. And I tried plenty, went to quite a few different cities.
Tried it online, even after I got annoyed of it taking so long... My luck... The package got lost on route and that was their last copy... I never felt so bad getting a refund :/ 
But then one trip to Sweden, my girl took me to Kristianstad, I went into Gamestop and it was a glorious day! Finally Valkyria Chronicles was mine!
Did not even bother to look at the price or figure out how much it was in Euro

Seem to have so many of these old consoles kicking around at the mo left behind by kids fleeing the nest.
One fatboy 360 was modded a few years back n I dunno where to begin to get it re-modded I suspect I'd need to find the original key which is prolly in Timbuctoo or somewhere.
There is another el cheapo 360 barely used slim but only has a tiny hard drive n 1 still functioning PS3 which I grabbed from the sole remaining off spring who appears to have rededicated himself to the WiiU -some little french bloke with no arms n l;egs born outta moonlight has him transfixed at the mo.
Anyway dealt to the PS3 yesterday & ran the duplex gtav release on it.
It was good - apart from meh graphics and loooooong load times that is.
What is the story here? If YeeechStar had put this thing out on PC I may have considered buyin the thing but their obvious distaste for PC gamers has me convinced that giving such turds any money would be like kissing the ass of a bloke whose tryin to eye gouge you.
GTA5 is good but it isn't much different from every other iteration, just more jokes, more side quests and more big name voices.
Rockstar are trading on an old jaded model, the game developer version of the ancient art of shovel leaning as perfected by generations of past their prime manual laborers.
The media is fulla stories of how they spent US $226 million developing the game. I hafta say that thus far in the game is good but not that good. I hope the stupid biased calls the banksters who put this project together have made ends up with RockStar turning its toes up and dying.
PC gamers oughtta shun buying this. If they haven't clocked gtav on a console by the time the PC version is released, they should only grab the skiddy or 3dm digital distribution.
ReechStar deserve nothing less cause however much money they do rip outta gamers will be dollars that could have gone to the next generation of game makers who are actually innovating & taking risks.

A very good reason for not buying the game. gtav is tearing huge chunk of change outta the gaming sector & feeding it to lame 'celebrity of the month' types who already have sufficient cash.
Grabbin the skidrow digital distribution will leave PC gamers with funds which can then be invested with smaller games developers working on original ideas, who need every extra $226 much less $226 mill.

watching the streams disappoint me a little
the driving is overarcadish imo
and the cars take like no damage
maybe they limited the euphoria engine in order to get better framerate on the peasants' platform
it's almost as bad as saints row

Watched some streams and yeah, it seems this is the case. Maybe the peds still keep some of that delicious euphoria physics, but the cars seem to be very, very arcadish so my bet is a tonedown in physics is what's happened.

I for one belong to the second one, I found GTA IV's handling enjoyable and quite satisfying whereas Saints Row's or Sleeping Dogs' were too arcadey for my tastes. So I really hope they haven't changed it.  |

Lol comparing driving to saints row. Its nothing like that.
And nothing like realistic handling in gta iv.
Its a mix of sa and fta iv actually.
Cars have their weight nd grip but are made easier to control to allow more action than gta iv.

Euphoria iw fully there but its perfected and not so goofy. As said. Handling got a bit easier but not sr levels.
But everything else stayed. Peds react euphoria way. Shooting and animations is also largely done with euphoria.
