KONAMI must have the best marketing ever. I can't believe they managed to convince you folks to take input lag as a "feature" to increase realism. After playing for a few hours I can say that I am truly dissapointed with this. Maybe I was too hyped before release, but come on KONAMI, GK AI, non-robotic animations, control responsiveness, presentation, commentary...How hard can it be?!...it's been seven years now...
I won a Champions League title and an Europa League title on regular/professional difficulty and the only goals scored against me were scored after my keeper rejected the ball right to an opponent that was patiently waiting for that to happen. The only thing this has over Fifa is player running off the ball, which in Fifa 14 Demo was almost non-existing. I get it that KONAMI wants to make this game slow-paced, but at times this slowing feels artificial/forced... they slow the pace by making the players sloppy and the controls laggy. I guess it will be fifa 14 isodemo local multiplayer for me this year, because neither game has shown any major improvement.

Thank you for your collaboration. It's a pity that you can't dribble the whole opponent team with Christiano Ronaldo with 360's, 180's, 720's and score with the weak foot from 30m away.

As 4treyu already mentioned, there is no input lag for many of us and everything is responsive. I can easily perform first time passes, 1-2's and first time shots without any input lag. I'm playing with X360 wireless controller if that helps.
Maybe I'm, like 4treyu, lucky because I almost never have technical issues with games.

Let me make it clear for you, in case you just type away and don't read any previous posts:
Many of us don't experience any input lag.

u can do headers in the enemy's box too? Is there some weird ass timing thing I have to keep in mind? When I press the shoot button right before or just when the ball arrives, the player still takes it down and uses his foot :/

Nah, to be honest I understand why there's people who are disillusioned with football games today. They stay in the past while basketball, baseball, handegg () and even F1 titles are deserving a simulator status (well maybe not F1, yet).
There's a reason why myself am not buying PES either, even when I think it's the superior game in comparison with the boring FIFA. It's just that it's the one that at least is now trying to get away from the past and make some due progress, but the debt is considerably high and it still has many faults that are unjustifiable in this time and age 
Who knows? Maybe it's too hard for KONAMI to compete against the giant EA who is content with just rehashing the same game year after year just adding a couple of unmeaningful "features" with fancy names (but securing all the licenses at the same time, maybe that's where the money goes). And even worse for us PC gamers, serving us some second table dishes (regional expression). But that shouldn't justify it either.
@kazemaky, yes there's some needed precise timing. Have you already played the tutorials? Also, remember to press the directional at the same time.

Ive done most of the tutorials and I can do headers out of the box to clear or pass the ball, but in the enemy's box it goes to shit.

Ofcourse it does.
With vsync on, i have a 1 second lag when changing players, tackling, shooting..
With vsync off, there is no lag at all, whatever i do.

For me it's the worst pes ever
I mean make slow animations doesn't make a game realistic , play every football game @15 FPS image/sec , is it realistic ? NO , it's just boring
btw someone could share the patch 1.01 files , i've some trouble with the installer , Hope it make it better

had some problems with the installer too, u just have to wait a few mins after clicking upgrade. the window disappears but it checks the game files in backround

PES seems to have the better gameplay against CPU but I like FIFA controls and shooting. The AI is horrendous though, tried playing with the sliders which dont help that much sadly.
meh dont like it, made around 20 games now. time to test the fifa final on xbox in a few mins
