Don't get me wrong, i'm a hackint0sh users for years now (I barely use Windows, if at all), but OS X is far from being perfect. It's still my favorite OS, but now the gap with Windows and OS X is "small" in my opinion.
Can't wait for 10.9 though, which seems to have many under the hood improvements, including to gaming and OpenGL (it finally supports OpenGL 4.X).
And yeah, the disk I/O is terrible, it seems worth & worth every time I install a new build of OSX.... Windows does a much better job at it sadly. My ideal OS would be a mix of both Windows features and OSX.
But that's not the thread I guess

(I'm not even talking about OS X which is a joke, specially when it comes into gaming).
What are you on about, Apple software is perfect? The ridiculous disk I/O with the terrible disk scheduler is fine! Also perfectly fine how the entire USB bus locks up when you plug in an external USB 3.0 drive (when I do my touchpad, keyboard and mouse all stop working until it's finally done mounting that thing - touchpad is hooked up to USB internally)
I do hope 10.9 fixes some these stupid things that make my Mac just come to a crawl at random. 2012 i7 MBP, 16 GB RAM on a goddamn SSD. I worked on the mechanical drive for a week (I got it on a business trip, so no chance to swap it out) and couldn't wait to replace that. Dat I/O

Im still having a hard time... the pics and vids before release were so damn over the place. The textures and missing aa are just ridicolous... maybe top for PSBox, but not for anyone living in the year 2013.
