well all courses involved theory, but as I had an old soc-mobile for a first car, and it required some maintenance to run every day, I was familiar with how the running parts of vehicle work so I skipped most of the theory courses. Only for C,D,E there were shit tons of regulations about what paperwork you must carry/signed, how much you can work and what sleep breaks you must take. That was a pain in the ass, but the practical 20-40h were worth it  As a kid I dreamed of driving something big, and now I have driven a 14t truck in a 30m configuration with a trailer on the back - when you go over a bump, you need like 20 more sec for the whole configuration to go over it. Also a BUS!! The feeling of sitting ahead of the front tires and moving with the vehicle as it turns..
Of course in order to actually drive those in real-life conditions I have to get a psy evaluation that expires in 3years, give 500eur more for a refresher theoretical course every year, and have someone instruct me on the paperwork..
