I need to play something now, it's cheap enough to not wait for sale. Very Happy

Also not sure if i'll have any free time later, as i'm preparing my PC Master Race body for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts and Grand Theft Auto V. Cool Face

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Another review, 7.5/10

http://www.capsulecomputers.asia/2013/09/alien-rage-review/

Quote:
Though Alien Rage feels dated when comparing it to modern shooters, it is a terrific experience. It embraces the fact that many of its design choices are meant to play to old-school sensibilities and it’s a better game for it. Though enemy AI can be infuriating and the checkpoints are too far spaced out, the core gameplay feels fantastic. Combine that with incredible visual design and animation, and you’ve got a great old-school shooter for a budget price. Fans of old-school shooters will definitely want to give it a try.

Unlock it now, can't wait! Mad

Apparently it uses those compressed ini files so no editing of settings that way, for now.

EDIT: Seems this is just Steam updating the files every so often, nothing too big but there was a actual small update released a short while ago.
