Wow, what a powerful episode. The Kruger/Bichir duo was amazing.
I really like this show a lot and it's been officially accepted in my yearly rotation (whatever that means ) Sure, the writing isn't fantastic, and they make some goofs here and there, but the very talented pair of leads carry it forward with a lot of ease and I love the atmosphere, it shows so well how the world can become so dark in such a sunny place.
Still 2 episodes left this season and hoping for a renewal!
Very powerful. I think the writing has improved greatly from the initial episodes to now. A lot better. It takes a while before writers, as well as entire cast and crew find their groove. It took The Shield 3 years. Here it took several episodes. I still fail to see where some of the threads are taking the story. Is it just a side look at the lives of others, or will they take center stage. The guy that smuggled women, the mexican kingpin and his girlfriend, the dumb bitch and the dumber blond all-american dumbass. Some of these I would like to see explored.
Yeah in my post I forgot to mention, the music! Oh the music in this show is fabulous. It doesn't play that often but when they include a tune, it's almost mesmerizing. I loved that one in the end of this episode
@LeoNatan I'm under the impression that's where the show is going now, especially in these last 2 episodes left.
For scandinavians:
Broen/Bron 2 starts up pretty soon, it continues!
Can't fucking wait
If I should chose to only watch one between the scandinavian or the international one, which do you recommend?
Scandinavian.
Original actors (if you are used to US productions only) and different setting (Sweden/Denmark vs Mexican border, drug cartels etc, we've seen it so many times before).
And IMO the original is better, especially the main actors.
That's the idea, Marco is very flawed, and Demian Bichir plays him masterfully
Bad wording from me, I meant I don't like the actor.
Ahhh, fair enough. He's very talented though, I follow him since he was doing movies in Mexico. "Todo el Poder" is one of my favourites. Already got a well deserved oscar nomination too
I like the way he's playing Marco in the show, all troubled, sometimes scared, caught between two worlds and fed up. With a mysterious past as well.

The setting is quite familiar to fraich3 because he is Danish, though. So maybe a point to US version!
8 out of 10 dentists prefer zipfero to competing brands(fraich3 and Mutantius)!
An episode of great quality, especially the narrative, and the acting. Shows that you don't need action sequences or thrilling suspense to produce a fine piece of television.
I also love how some "minor characters are suddenly given more relevance now.
