Nope, I have nothing, the only way this got repaired in the first place was because my wife was able to put together some cash. Typical bad luck shit, but at least it lasted another 3 months and I got to play TLoU.

I couldnt get it to work, then i installed multiMAN-ver-04.46.03 and it detected i was running a lower firmware then required (4.46) and it asked me to change the files to make it compatible.
Now it is working fine from USB.
And yes i ticked BD Mirror and boot directly.

Btw to anyone playing it from internal, don't. This game is like GTA v in the way it constantly streams content, I had some stutter and many shitty textures when playing off internal, now I replayed the same passages from external without any probs.

Will any USB work? I have a 32GB USB3 stick. Just plug it in the USB port, mount from MM and start as usual?

Initially had black screen too. I updated my MM, only chose BD mirror and it worked. Had a game disc in the tray as well.

you will get a black screen if you dont have the newest mm, which is 4.46.04 (.03 may work too, but nothing below that)
3 hrs in, so far absolutely great and immersive game, i am glad i hardly watched any videos or read up on it, since there are some crazy plot elements that i didnt expect.
also, not a spoiler regarding the game´s story, but an interesting little detail:
Spoiler: | i just came across a guy reading a newspaper, and checked it out from aidens perspective, to catch the title "origami killer: 7 victims, still no leads". so the game does take place in the same universe as heavy rain, and partly even along the same timeline |

I can't get it to work on MM either.
Not with BD Mirror nor without. Disc in drive or no doesn't matter either.
Weird how it works for others. I'm sure I'm missing something but no idea what.
EDIT: Magically works on 04.50.00 now. But only with disc in drive, so Iris it is.

although the demo didnt impress me ( a little too stream lined, and thats saying something when coming from heavy rain) i gotta admit im excited, why?
well the first time i booted up heavy rain something happened that has never happened before, my girlfriend came over and asked what i was playing. i proceeded to tell her the story and whats going on, after telling her that i would let her make all the choices while i play, we finished the first and only video game ever together, in 2 sittings.
im expecting similar results from this game, although my girlfriend might not like the story as much as heavy rain (serial killer whodunit vs aiden the ghost)
we will see... anyone have a mini review that has played heavy rain?

If you loved Heavy Rain, you will love this one too. There is really no doubt about it.

I'm only at the beginning of the game, but so far amazing.
I'm even more amazed by the full version than the demo, these graphics are just the best ones you can find on PS3 (and other platforms, excluding 30fps, 720p and small jaggies ?).
For people wondering, the picture quality in this one is fine, no vaseline, I guess they are using proper FSAA (more likely MSAA). That really helps.
