Apparently since a few days ago Youtube is forcing users to watch videos using the new format, html5. Not 100% of the videos are playing using it though, but only a portion of them which appear to be chosen randomly.

I'm having trouble with the new format, using the latest Chrome when i watch a video on fullscreen the mouse pointer doesn't disappear, and loading time seem to be even longer than the Flash version.

Tried to quit the html5 implementation's program here http://www.youtube.com/testtube but it doesn't work, i'm still getting html5 videos.

Are you having difficulties too?

No, sorry, all YT vids work for me okay so far. Even better with MagicActions which removes 99.99% of the SUCK from Youtube.

I think it's dependent on the Chrome version you use. I remember having also some videos force HTML, but now everything is Flash.

Retardoogle as usual with their bullshit. They probably noticed that ABP blocks ads less effectively in HTML5 mode so they forced it. Rolling Eyes

Retardoogle indeed. I'm really tired of their constant, pointless, changes that don't actually improve anything but instead just cause more issues Sad

Doesn't help. I've always had this disabled, yet some videos were forced into HTML5 mode.

I have much smoother playback with the HTML5 player, the Flash Player is horrendous.
Like everything is running at 20fps. Its worst in Firefox.
I also don't have as much buffering issues with the HTML5 and it actually caches the video so you can go back without having to reload everything again.

seriously i don't get these flash player 20fps complaints. for me flash player stopped lagging since 2002 or so when I got pentium4. are people still on older CPUs than pentium4? Laughing
