Yes there is. Press select to open up the online menu and scroll down to "chat". It controls the voice chat, you can change it to friends or friends and crew only. Can't fcking stand them, too.

Once they get some more free DLC rolling in, it might. Still waiting for the free beach clothes + 2 guns dlc they announced for the launch of GTA:O or whatever.

I wonder if GTA Online is just an experiment to see if a GTA MMO is feasible and then rather than doing a story based singleplayer game they'll release a next gen GTA MMO that will build on what they've learnt from this and make a game that will span the entire generation and possibly charge monthly for it.

I'm on Rogero 4.46 and Multiman 4.50 ..... But when I tried to go on GTA online on PS3 it's asking me to update my frirmware I guess to 4.50 ...... IS there a new Rogero out or is there a way to get around this ?!?!

So no, I don't think R* is actually THAT stupid.
