I am a glutton for punishment, I have lost 3 characters so far to online bugs with my highest being a level 35 and about 400k in cash. The 35 and a level 10 that had replaced it both got wiped yesterday. Rock$tar was sure quick to try and patch out ways to make money in the game as that would take away from the sales of their microtransaction money cards but people losing characters seems to be cool with them.

From what I understand people lose characters when the cloud is down as that's where the info is stored, all my single player money is in BAWSAQ stocks, which is down when the cloud is offline  People say their characters come back when the cloud is working again, if they haven't created a new one in the same slot.
I wouldn't be surprised if they do a full wipe, or two, when they get everything working properly, some of those leaderboard times look a bit questionable.
I had a strange moment the other week, Trevor had $193,000, so I spent $93,000 on stocks, BAWSAQ I think, next day I had no stocks and only $100,000.
I can't see any chance of a PC version until after they get online stabilized, then they'll have to face it all again.

The xbox360/one and PS3/4 versions are for the money, the PC version is for the fun, for the lol, and for the oldschool, so we need to wait they enrich first.

Come to think of it. I reailized that PC version helped the franchies more one could think of.obviously they got idieas from the mods on previews PC games,let alone the online which was on PC before consols.

Hopefully they'll optimize it more than GTA4.. I remember when that was first released on PC it ran like ass.. it still doesn't run that great does it?

It does run great. You need a strong CPU.

I did see a massive difference in the performance for The Ballad of Gay Tony, the moment I switched to Core i5 3570, as opposed to my earlier E8400 Core2Duo processor.

As for "strong CPU" Your laptop i7? I'd say it was less capable in gaming than most any desktop Sandy+ i5 or i7
