It isn't really his joke though, it was Valve themselves who made HL3 into a joke. Now, all you need is to mention HL3 and it's already funny.

Yeah the level design and gameplay can really tire you down in some chapters..

Did the first seven levels and started with the harbor one, so far the levels have worked pretty much the same where you go from small corridors to larger open "arenas" with some light exploring for secrets and at times key items to proceed, I like it though and it's usually also possible to backtrack although some areas do become inaccessible as you progress though the level.
Bit disappointed with the secrets so far, it's always a statue or two, a fountain or two, a crystal or on rare occasions two and a retro area from the original game but maybe it'll change later, some of them are very well hidden though.
(But others are very easy to spot.)
The fortune cookies are fun too, have yet to find a repeating message so there must be a number of them.
(From saving and loading it seems the "reply" is randomized each time it's picked up.)
Enemies are finally starting to get interesting with the minotaur like guardians and the priest/monk necromancer but it's still a lot of basic fodder and those flying bird creatures for ranged support.
(Some odd creature appeared now at the harbor level, nice to see new types being introduced still.)
Weapon progress is pretty slow, I just got the shotgun though the upgrades do keep them all very interesting and the alt-fire can be very handy.
Still mostly using the sword since it's so powerful but I had to use a ranged weapon to properly deal with the boss, good fight even if it was a bit repetitive and the usual shoot the weak point pattern.
Love how the game looks, maybe not the most technically advanced game of 2013 but certainly among the more atmospheric and scenic first-person shooters so far.
(But the game does get very demanding at times, during larger battles for example but it's not bad for a DX9 game and a good improvement from their previous game Hard Reset too.)
The animated cutscene was a nice touch as well, unsure how the story will be so far, if this is a prequel to how the events transpired in the original Shadow Warrior then there must be some interesting things later on in the game, confrontation with Zilla for example.
(Hopefully now without retarded looking power armor on a tipping platform.)
Enjoying the gore too even if most enemies dismember in the same way, would have been nice with some more variety such as dismembering the head or torso better or splitting enemies in half.
(The blood effect is wonderful too, even splatters on walls and slowly drips down.)
EDIT: Oh and seeing some of the sprites from the original game was fun, doesn't count as a secret or anything though, they just appear here and there.
(Other than the retro areas.)

But since the game has not yet been updated I don't think the content is currently accessible.
EDIT: Oh it's a entirely separate game, not a DLC.
