btw,
 Spoiler: | do you also feel that either the life+zoe or beyond ending is the canon one?
both of them hint that zoe´s baby could be the main character in a possible sequel, you can see her standing next to jodie in most life endings, but only in the zoe ending you actually realize who she is and that what her role is. |

Possibly... I think all of them are good and make sense though. They really tried to think about every outcome !
I find it really bothering you cannot skip cutscenes. I know you aren't supposed to skip them but I mean for the final chapter... To see the different endings at least... They really want you to play it all again, and watch them again, and that sucks...
Same was with Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain though...

After finishing the game, I tried to see what other people saw on their playthrough too, and I noticed actually that minor choices I thought wouldn't impact the game later on did.
I'm actually surprised that some choices have impacts BEFORE the ending. Yeah in the end, it's just different alternatives of some scenes, but sometimes choosing something in let's say chapter 4 will change something in chapter 8 !
It's not only changing a thing for a current chapter !

Kinda insignificant I know but...
| Spoiler: | If you skip the "bar" rape scene altogether by simply not talking with Aiden when you control Cole, then the guard catches you and the chapter ends.
Then, when Clayton comes to your home to have dinner, you can choose to kiss him, and accordingly to your choice before (skipping the bar scene or not), they will have sex or not : in my play through they didn't because it reminded her the bar scene. |
I'm sure a lot of other details like that are taken into consideration, although from what I heard, this seems really stupid :

Well it didn't bother me because I chose to love him so it made sense to me 
Then I saw on youtube people hating him and still had the same outcome as I did, i was like WTF. Yeah this was badly done.... But oh well.
Also, it seems either way Nathan MUST die, either from Clayton, Aiden or killing himself right ?

So... finally started playing this (really wanted to finish GTA before getting into Beyond). So far I'm kinda on the fence. I really like the individual scenes, but really dislike the disjointed narrative :/ It makes the game feel kinda chaotic, especially without any sort of a narration between the scenes. I hope I'll get used to it, but we'll see.
Also, as other people pointed out already, the game is truly gorgeous. I'm really anxious to see what QD can do on the PS4, because it blows my mind away it's possible to create something like Beyond on hardware as ancient as the PS3.

Gamesmaster UK gave it a 60% (Heavy Rain: 91%)
Play UK gave it a 70% (Heavy Rain: 94%)
6.8 (Pelit) & 6.0 (CVG)
I agree with them.

Opinions are opinions, I know some people preferred Heavy Rain, but I know I didn't !
I hope that won't scare QuanticDream or Sony to take risks, because I don't want the next QD game to be CoD 5252050...

Well the last time I had so much "emotions" was with Heavy Rain I guess. And then before, Fahrenheit. So I hope they continue this trend.
The story had flaws, but overall satisfying for me. Specially if you played Fahrenheit, you can easily see how the writing is MILES better.
It had a lot of hollywood clichés, don't get me wrong, but that's how it is nowadays.
I really liked the fact that the game wasnt always about Michael Bay explosions, and what not, and had some really relaxing "scenes", that made you actually think about your choices. I also thought the ending was great, because it makes you think and somehow involved with the game. I can hardly name any game that did this so well.
Maybe with the MGS3 ending, I remember the monologous in it was really intriguing and the ending really impacted me : can't say the same for the ending of a Uncharted game for example, or even of GTA 5.
Still, the game took many risks in some aspects that other dev/games don't.
All this to say, I'm okay with people not liking the game, but I hope it won't stop them from making similar games in the future...

Why such reactions for Fahrenheit? It went batshit crazy later in the game, game really was fantastic up to that point though.
