Considering buying it, if it gets rid of the freezes but it's a bit unclear whether it's crack related or not. The game is worth the money but if the legit version also has the freezes I don't feel like buying it until the issue has been solved.

Bad crack maybe?

Yup, I can confirm. Reloadeds crack causes the freezes. ALI213 works fine.

Just tried both the cracks and yup, definitely get the ALI213 emulator (cs.rin has it) if you want to play the game without uber-annoying freezes every 10 seconds.

I'm very picky when it comes to arcade racing games but this one is pretty cool. Nice graphics, decent handling, weapons are well implemented, lots of cars/upgrades..the usual stuff, only not covered by seven layers of derp. It's straight to the point. Very Happy
My only complaint is the AI which blatantly cheats at the higher level of difficulty, but medium is more than okay to have some fun.

Bandits Phoenix Rising is old as hell but I enjoyed it a lot back then, even got it in retail casing still.

No sadly Razz, the standard FXAA is pretty bad but I'm using some SweetFX to improve the visuals a bit:

Sweet Jesus fucking Christ Almighty on a fucking bike, this is one HELL of a system-raping intensive game. Daflyingfuq? 30-40fps on max with a single 570 - 100% GPU usage. I used this thread to get the right SLi compatibility bits and it's 99-100% scaling (Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked) on both cards, I get 60 *only* if I turn down AO from Extreme to Ultra. My cards are BAKING at over 81c.... 74c on the DCII and 82c on the reference 570. Sweet Jesus Very Happy

Poker Face

~edit~

Did anyone notice the car you race at the very start of the game? It's got a bound/tied-up driver in the boot and you can only see if it if you've taken enough damage to open the boot.. or if you RESET your position and your car ghost flickers

I tried the tips in that thread for the SLI profile, but my 460's seem to get better results (by about 10fps) by just simply enabling FORCEAFR2 in the control panel.

I think the car you start out with is random (I had a different one/weapons) when I recreated a profile - maybe it has to do with difficulty set?

Also, what does Arcade Mode do when making a profile? Didn't notice any difference.

For a game focused on vehicular mayhem the weapons seem kind of....weak. It does look nice though!

As far as I know, "Arcade Mode" improves handling/cornering and removes surface-based grip/speed modifiers.

Haha, yeah I agree - I've got it selected too. Some of it is brilliant but then some others is spoiled by mispronunciation ("I hope you leave enough room for my missile, because I'm going to ram it into your ex-OUST" hehe) Still, it's a damned good approximation Very Happy

been enjoying this quite a bit(although its more a lack of similar games that makes me enjoy this one, deathtrack ressurection has been a while now hehe) but the humor at times is very forced or maybe wierdly translated.

it borders between being very funny and : / , but quite enjoyable

The humour reminded me of the old Carmageddon games, dry but kinda effective in its own weirdness. Razz

Speaking of which, I really hope they finally manage to give us a proper sequel..because all the delays and lack of infos aren't reassuring at all. Usually I'm not a fan of arcade racers, but when there's to destroy stuff, blow things up and slaughter people I'm always game. xD
