Also finished the game. Liked it, but not nearly as much as Heavy Rain, and not only because of theme preference. There are three main problems I have with Beyond:
1) Narration - the disjointed scenes don't work for me. Whole game felt like some kind of a TV show, instead of a movie - and one with a "story of the week" format, with very little meaningful continuity. Usually just as I started to be interested in a situation or characters, the game threw me somewhere else entirelly. It also doesn't help with character development... to be honest it doesn't help with anything, aside from maybe offering the player the ability to play in radically different environments.
2) Characters - way too many cliches and way too little development. Jodie is the single star here, but aside from her there's not much to look out for. Even important characters felt a bit two dimmensional and predictable - like Nathan - and less important ones are plainly terrible. My biggest dissapointments were Cole and Ryan - both with VERY little personality aside from a boring cliche. I actually found it hard to even care for Ryan in one of the harsh scenes near the end of the game.
3) Consequence - to put it simply: your actions don't really matter all that much. Yes, you can change some minor stuff, or how certain scenes play out, but the major parts of the story will always play out more or less the same way. And finally, the most important thing: you can't fail. When I was playing HR I knew the character I controlled could actually die, I knew my actions could result in someone else's death, with the kidnapped kid as the prime, most obvious example. It affected me and my actions, it created something there's very little of in Beyond - tension. It made the game leaps and bounds better.
Don't get me wrong - Beyond is still a good game, and a mindblowingly beautiful one too ("The Mission" completely dropped my jaw), just not nearly as good as Heavy Rain or Telltale's The Walking Dead. Or at least that's my point of view.

I wonder what they mean with "remove". Could be they just stretch the image (which would obviously be moronic).

Hm, probably with bars removed, there will be nudity exposed?

In this one it's because Ellen *is* the character. She did the voice and the motion capturing.
And in TLoU, Ellie *used* to look like Ellen Page, but that was changed long before release for exactly that reason. Ellie's voice is Ashley Johnson.

ah ok. i still think she looks very much like Ellen Page, it's very easy to see she's modelled after her (hell, the only movie i've seen with her is Juno i believe, which was ages ago now, i still directly saw that the main char in this game was modelled after that actor).
