Hmm, so I see this is on steam now. Good, good.

I also see that the PC version, is not coming out the same day as the ps3/360....again.

This interview comes to mind lol...

Quote:

GameSpy: So when's the PC release date?

Ubisoft PR: October 30th.

GameSpy: Yeah, but when's the real PC release date?

Ubisoft PR: It's October 30th.

GameSpy: Uh huh. And can you say that with a straight face?

Ubisoft PR: You can ask me as many times as you like, but the answer will be the same.

GameSpy: Very well, let's move on. So, when will you announce the delay of the PC version?

Ubisoft PR: ...

Not a biggie, a few weeks never killed anyone, but still..... damn you ubisoft.

Ubisoft confirms (.... hahahaha.... no but seriously...) that AC4 will run better than AC3 due to ground-up changes to the rendering scheduler.

"People are really surprised with where we took Assassin's Creed 4 because it was back in time from Connor's time. But we've never outright said that we are always moving forward. It just happened to be that way because we went from Altair to Ezio, then Ezio to Connor and there was a lot of hype about the American Revolution.

If this continues AC 145 will be Yugoslavia from 1985 - 2000. DLC's include War for Sarajevo and Kosovo Independence. You'll play a Croatian Serb with confused views.

Seriously, they need to start doing something new.

Apparently there's a follow up with all the technical explanations:
http://www.dsogaming.com/interviews/ubisoft-talks-ac4-tech-anvilnext-engine-features-global-illumination-dx11-2-amds-mantle/

They sound so proud of themselves with all the new goodies, perhaps it's true..
They even managed to find a way to support more than 3 cores! This is a revolution for Ubi Cool Face Laughing

Yup, only the Anvil Engine had that kind of problem as far as I know (quite unexplainable if I may add Razz). Luckily I've never had performance problems with AC3, but I know that there's a huge percentage of people who did, so it will be interesting to see if they actually managed to fix that nasty stuff...without breaking anything grinhurt

Got to watch some people play today at the NYC Comic Con, they were using ps4's.

All of the gameplay was multiplayer, and looked very similar to the previous AC online game modes. Graphics were very nice, gameplay looked like.... the typical ac gameplay, there were some visible FPS drops during some of the action though Sad

I really wanted to try it, especially since it was on the ps4, I just wanted to feel the controller lol. They had some tourney going, and the last part of it required you to play just dance in-front of hundreds of people :/ And the line was insanely long too. They were supposed to have watch dogs out for people to play as well, but that might be later today or tomorrow.

If you buy the Steam version it's also the uPlay version, the only difference is you can download your game from Steam normally like any game. It still has uPlay interface and all that though.
