Heh, thanks Pumpy. We've been living there for a year now. It's a condo, we live in a complex.
There was a Pakistani family living there before us, and they completely fucking ruined the place. Everything was dirty and smelly, the floors were all carpeted and gross with stains, air ducts full of grime and dirt, windows had a film of flith on them....bleh. I put over $12,000 into fixing the place up, from the wood floors, to the walls, doors, windows, bathroom, laundry room....etc It took a while to get it to where it is now, but I'm pretty proud of how it all turned out Not to seem like I'm showing off lol but I should post a pick up my living room later

Yup, we bought the condo, 12K was pretty high for repairs yes, but we did a lot of work. Most of the money spent was on the hardwood floors, and buying new appliances (dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven...etc) we had to put in new sink's, toilets, and the bathtub, also had redo the tiles in the bathroom because they were molded
I can't afford a house yet, not around here anyway. Any decent house is $400K+ in my area. So the condo with some repairs was within our current budget.

Well I've finally bought myself a new camera. Canon EOS 600D and I love it. I honestly got this for fishing as I'm a mad keen carper but I've always wanted a good camera for taking snaps of this and that.
Well it would seem I really like macro work and Astrophotography (love stargazing) so it's a massive learning curve for me.
Now please bear in mind that these pictures are nowhere near the level of some of the images already posted in here. I'm very much a n00bie lol.
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II
Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS II (ISO 100 - F8- 1/200)
I'll be honest. I'm having a hard time getting my head around all of this aperture, ISO stuff but after a little playing around over the last week or so, that picture of the moon is the best I've got so far. I know it's a little blurred but the moon was very hazy tonight and it's very hard to get the camera on my naff tripod to stay still. Even with a 10 second delay before the camera takes it's picture it's still moving when looking through the viewfinder. My next upgrade I think have to be a remote control and a new tripod.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
Not a picture but a GoPro video i shot last weekend in Lake Havasu. Thought this was the most appropriate thread.
Im the one Surfing. Starts out with some humor. Then the boats gets going and they pass off the camera. Thought it turned out neat.
Great vid! Although I don't get it - you gave the rope back to the guy and yet the board keeps going at the same speed as the the boat..? The wave carries it?
Also why is everyone dead silent?
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube
We ballast down the boat to generate a continual breaking surf wave. Its much bigger in real life. Ill post a picture tomorrow showing the size. I can make a 5 - 7 foot face behind my boat. See all those grey bags in the boat, there full off water sinking the boat on one side.
Im much better when not holding a heavy rod and camera. I can do bottom turns, Snaps, Lip slides. Its addictive, i did a 20 minute straight surf this summer. Call ourselves inland surfers, but the sport is wake surfing.
The GoPro was in a water tight housing and the music is really loud so i can hear it while i surf.
