					| Quake IV released in Mid-October!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mesquite, TX – October 3, 2005 – id Software™, Raven Software and Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) have confirmed Earth’s invasion of Stroggos with the announcement that QUAKE 4™ PC has entered manufacturing and will begin shipping to retail stores nationwide on Tuesday, October 18. The long awaited sequel to QUAKE II®, QUAKE 4 enlists gamers in the role of Matthew Kane, a member of the Earth Defense Force’s legendary Rhino Squad, to penetrate deep into the heart of the Strogg war machine and engage in a series of heroic missions to destroy the barbaric alien race.

“On October 18, QUAKE is dialing it up to 4.0 on the Richter Scale with this new chapter in Earth’s war against the Strogg,” said Todd Hollenshead, CEO, id Software. “Fusing an epic war-story driven single player campaign, and fast-paced QUAKE III Arena® inspired multiplayer, QUAKE 4 delivers a gaming experience fans will be raving about for years.”

					| | Quote: | | Minimum System Requirements P4 1.5GHz CPU (or equivalent).
 384MB of RAM.
 64MB graphics card.

Lowest supported GPU is a GeForce 4 MX (worse than GeForce 3).
 Supported cards:
 GF 4 MX.
 GF 3.
 GF 4.
 GF FX (and higher).
 Radeon 8500s, 9000s and higher.

 Recommended System Requirements
 2Ghz CPU.
 512MB RAM.
Radeon 9800 or GeForce FX 5950U.
5-channel sound card and speakers or headphones.
Based on Tim Willits announcement below and Doom 3's recommended system.

Tim Willits: If you had a machine that could run Doom 3 decently, it will run Quake 4 decently. If you can run games like Half-Life 2 or EverQuest 2, you should be fine. However, make sure that if you get a computer as a new upgrade, particularly one that's advertised as a gaming machine, that it has a few important features to help your experience. Most computers now would probably want at least 512 megs of RAM, and don't get a video card that has less than 128 megs of RAM - 256 megs is the way to go.
-- Tim Willits from id Software, inteviewed by IGN in April 29, 2005.

Baleur is right, even a geforce 4 MX can run this game, exactly like doom 3
anyway, im planning on a 6800 for this game, nothing less
