loved every second of this game, the music the art and especially the ending. Its so rare these days that games have a truly satisfying ending but this one did.

Want moar! cant wait to see what the sequel is like if he can get a small team together.

Now im on an indy high, just finished bastion too, anything else you guys can recommend?

Yup. Odin Sphere is immense and as long as you have a half-decent proc you should be able to run PCSX2 just fine. The bosses are a whole lot more enjoyable in Odin Sphere than Dust, which I found to be the only drawback to the game -- they were just too easy and thoroughly underwhelming Sad

Try Mark of the Ninja. It's a different kind of game, but it made me feel the same way I felt when I played Bastion. It's just a work of art and on top of that it's also a really really good game.

There is also Muramasa the Demon Blade from Vanillaware same devs as Odin Sphere.

Runs very well in Dolphin.

I doubt these can be called "indy" though (as original question mentions; altho the term lost its original meaning ages ago).

Also Braid if you haven't played it yet.
Giana: Twin Sisters but it is more streamlined and straightforward like Odin Sphere/Muramasa.

Well, I fixed the stuttering. It seems to stay at 60 fps now at all times. You know what causes that?! The bloody x360 controller emulator, which I have to use because the game doesn't support any other gamepad. Yeah, great! Absolutely great! Fine, devs, support that cancer all you want, but stop pretending it's the only gamepad people are using. I'm so sick of this... and no, I won't buy one of those because I fucking hate them. The game does work with mouse and keyboard pretty well, so I guess I'll end up playing the game like that.

Aw man, that sucks - this game will be incredibly uncomfortable on a keyboard. Have you tried different versions of x360ce?

If you really want to play with gamepad, you may try Autohotkey. It allows you to remap keys from keyboard to joystick (whatever it is xinput or directinput) and vice versa. There are some disadvantages but they differ from application to application and some other conditions. Usually it works well enough.

Autohotkey or Xpadder, but at least with x360ce it actually functions as a 360 pad - including onscreen prompts.

Well, I found this that gives me a different result: X360Ce Vibmod 3.1.4.1

It sort of works with it. There's no stuttering anymore, it's just that the game is capped at 54-ish fps, haha. I guess it's good enough. No idea if there are any other side-effects. I found other versions as well, that simply crashed the game.

Finally finished this, ending the game with 101% completed (missed 16%, basically just treasures/Friends that I couldn't be arsed to go back and collect once I'd acquired all the abilities) at Lv40 in 15 hours 47 mins. I loved each and every second and I dearly hope for a sequel --- it's one of the few games that I honestly and truly feel real guilt about pirating. I'd have bought this in a second if I had the cash.

Magnificent game. Developed by ONE man, with music co-composed by Alexander Brandon!

So Much Win

The fact that the game has been developed by one single guy still blows my mind.. one can like it or not, but it's really impossible to ignore the amount and quality of his work here, pretty damn impressive. So much talent Razz

I really do :\ I feel really bad at having pirated this and would have thrown my money at the developer if I had any, it's a fantastic game and I had just as much fun with this as I have with Odin Sphere -- and believe me, that's high praise as I consider Odin Sphere one of the finest 2D brawlers out there.

I just finished this as well and this is easily my GOTY so far. Funny how 3 years in a row my GOTY has been a game like this. It was Bastion 2 years ago and Mark of the Ninja last year. Each of them made me feel like no other game did once I finished them. They're just well put together games. They feel complete and they are actually fucking GAMES. Fuck off with your cinematic bullshit, developers! That does nothing but ruin a game, both in story and gameplay.

I absolutely loved the story and characters in this game... and the ending!!! So Much Win Soundtrack is fantastic, as is the art style. On top of that the gameplay part is quite damn good as well. I'm simply astounded by what one damn guy achieved with this game! I have nothing but respect for the man, the man called Dean Dodrill! Smile

I just started the game and holy shit, the visuals are so fucking gorgeous. Plus the combat, it's like mini-DMC3. Love the voice acting and the dialogues (Fidgets voice Laughing). Just wanted to know how long is this game?

My BOUGHT copy from STEAM says i've spent 14 hours with 22/30 (73%) of it's achievements,if that gives you an idea

On Normal,i think...and doing most of the Sidequests to get EXP and Moneyz and...stuff

I've seen many people moaning? about the game not running correctly on their PCs or not even starting..that,on the Official Steam's forums of the game...Yet my copy runs fucking great

Note: Those who had probs with the "Windows Update's update" that made their intro videos n stuff to show black bars,FEAR NOT,update Windows update ONCE AGAIN (or reinstall the specific update) and the game will run just fine ;D

Greetings!

From a Dust fan

Just an epic game. They dont make em like this anymore.
Combatsystem is fluid, intuitive and responds instantly to any input.
Story is just beautiful to the end. One of the few that actually stirs emotions.

A sequel needs to happen.
