i didn't like it and probably the only one who doesn't like this new 3d style, much prefered the old way. Too me this has just turned more into a 3d shooter now, will try again and see if any better on PS2 due to better controller, but i doubt it

After completing the Gamecube version I can easily say this is one of the best action games Ive ever played on any format. Is it likely to be just a straight port for the PS2?
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Not a straight port headshot, the PS2 version will have alot of new extras. Stuff like story missions for that girl (best bonus), new custumes, new weapons etc.
I agree with you mcmanic about the 3d shooter but too me it's great because I was not a total fan of the older resident evil games, they were abit too slow and just not my thing. This on the other hand is a pure action shooter game in a resident evil like world, and that I like. But like I said, I do understand that it might be a letdown for many real resident evil fans.

The game is amazing though!

glad i kept the ps2 around for this one game oh and collossus
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

I was wow´d when i played the demo, did not think that the ps2 had still that much to offer. The game itself feeled superb, someone told me that this was a old build demo, that in the final release there is much more to be wow´d about, dunno if this is true. Any news on the release format because if there is so many extra content could it be that this will be a dvd9 release

err??? the gc release was 2.8g on 2 minidvd, so they can add more than a gig worth of extras and still fit it on a dvd5.
don't i need some magical illegal thing?

I don´t know, i don´t use shit like that. I burn all my stuff to disc and just run them using a normal Modchip.

you can probably rebuild it, i've not had a single game that cannot be rebuilt to use swapmagic, only takes 5 mins and nothing missing, if it is to big just follow these steps:
Step 1.
Get release (no asking where thats your problem)
Step 2.
Open up Isobuster and load in the image file.
Step 3.
Hold shift and highlight all the game files and put them in a folder.
Step 4.
Open up Nero burning rom and create a new UDF/ISO dvd (It's the last one in the list). Drop all the game files into Nero in the same order as it is listed in Isobuster. Just keep Isobuster open as a reference when you do this. Nero will change the order of the files graphically, however they burn in the order that you dropped them in.
Step 5.
Select yes to burn/continue if any warning popup about disc not being compatible
Step 6.
Name the image and burn it at 2x.
has worked for every single game that is too big for swapmagic to load
who needs modchips and warrenty remains intact

Why the hell are everyone bothering with HD Loader/Swapmagic and stuff like that? A blank DVD-R costs like not even 1$ nowadays.
