what do they expect ? Making different release dates in this day and age is just stupid (especially for a mp game).

Different release dates for SP games , a lot of people will pirate it asap (and maybe buy it later or activate once its out, but they will play the yarr version early, when possible).

MP , people will try to cheat the system to play early.

It's just as simple.

That's cool, but ... can anyone like not completely ignore me and answer if anyone who bought this game on Origin from EU got their product key yet?

Gonna check tomorrow, hopefully with some reply here.. sigh .. think it's like the 3rd time i'm asking.

What product key? If you bought it on ORIGIN and it's in your library, then you have/own it?

Ok was just about to shut this down and go out.. but.. 1 more reply since someone actually bothered to post.

You have the game in your "my games" origin client, however until you get the product key (if you bought from origin store), you basically don't have the cd key and you can't even begin to preload (as far as i understood), nevermind play the game.

In order history it says game BF4 -> charged (?) = hasn't been delivered yet, instead of say.. compared to BF3 where it says completed (charged+delivered).

Anyway, have a great evening folks.

if you bought the game on origin store, the game will become available in your games list as soon as it is "open" i.e. when the preload date is reached (which is the 26. if i am not mistaken).

russ80 you need to relax. The product key is meaningless if the game is already in your Origin library. My product key for Crysis 3 didn't show up till release either.

What I think is most important is if you have been charged or not. If you have been charged, you have the game, one way or another Wink

Apparently Origin changed its billing company from Digital River to EA Swiss at the end of September and those who ordered prior to that have XXX as product key as well as display problems (failed orders) on the Order History page. Don't know if it's true but I have the exact same issues and I ordered in August. Also Premium which doesn't show up in the games list. In September I talked to an EA rep who said everything's all right wiith my orders but I talked to another rep earlier today who said that my Premium order didn't go through and I should contact my bank which I won't because the required funds are always there. So I tried to buy Premium again via Mexico but keep getting the FRAUD message over and over again even after I switched to paypal.

well, premium isn't of much use for the next couple months anyway. Except "priority queues" and some additional stuff you won't "need to play". So i wouldn't bother with it, at least for the next couple days after release (IF it didn't show up).

In my particular case, I bought BF4 from my local Origin store using paypal back in April. The order appears as "Completed" if I check my EA account via web, but it doesn't appear on the Orders list on Origin. The game appears in my Origin library with a product key of XXXXXX... and my credit card was charged by paypal the same day I made the purchase (in April).

On the other hand, I bought Premium through Mariachi Origin back in August and it wasn't charged until 2 days ago. The order always showed on Origin and is now tagged as "Completed". Premium also shows inside the BF4 game details as a separate entity, as well every one of the included expansions.

I'm not worried about any of them, especially because the money is already taken in both cases Smile

A beautiful mess that EA has with their platform. I'm in South America and they force us to buy on the Spain store (yes, because we speak spanish lol wut) and in euros, yet, when it comes to release date we get the same one as North America (the 29th, around midnight EDT). Laughing

Thanks for the answers guys, only reason i was so "panicked" is because when i bought the game my email address linked to the account (only had that email for origin), got disabled by yahoo for inactivity for over 1 year...

So i didn't get the receipt for buying it, and i saw another guy in a similar thread on bf3 forums saying something like the code might be in the receipt mail... which i don't have.

Also funny how customer support tried to convince me no one got their keys yet

I talked to an EA rep again and now he told me that my BF4 order didn't go through but the one I talked to yesterday said it was O.K. Goddamnit EA!! Also said the game will be removed from Origin that's why there's XXXXX product code and no release date. I was keep getting FRAUD yesterday in Mexican store so I thought I check it in the EU store but guess what, also FRAUD, even for my PayPal which I never used before on Origin. The rep said that my account is in good condition and it must have to do something with my card. (Perhaps my bank blocked EA?) The case was escalated and I'm waiting for an e-mail from them with the solution but if I get nothing till Monday then I'm going to buy it on a key site. The moral of the story for me is to never ever again purchase anything in the Origin store. No wonder they are the worst company. Smile

Read my comment again. I said that purchases now don't even work in the EU store for me and I see plenty of such problems on ea.com forum so I'm definitely not alone in this.

Dafuq are you talking about? I bought it normally for 60 euros (and i'm already charged) and i don't have my product key. I only wanted to use a VPN to preload/play early which is my right.

They can go fuck themselves if i can't preload in almost 5 hours like the rest, and it's the last time i'm buying anything from their store directly. Could have gotten it cheaper from multiple places while also having the key already.

Couple of people who were in the same situation as me got their keys already, so we'll see.

dude, we told you. there is no product key, when you buy it on origin Smile the game just shows up in your list of games, when it is available to download/play Smile There is no activating or entering a key or anything.

I know you did but you were wrong.

People in the same position as i was yesterday, got their keys today and they can see when the preload will start/when they can play. And they're not from US either, so it's not that.

You don't indeed have to enter the key yourself, however it gets added to your game.

if they got a key, it's because they bought from a 3rd party site. if you bought it from origin store itself, it automatically attaches itself to the account used to buy it.
