Unless you're sitting on like a Celeron processor from 2006 and a 7900 GTX or something like that, the process of launching and quitting the game is very snappy, with few side effects on your desktop activities, if any. Yeah i've gotten quite a few hours in on bf3. its not that it isnt snappy I just find it annoying unpractical and it takes me out of the *game* (not literately , well that too , ykwim)
completely agree. browser server list is retarded, dice always had problems with in-game server lists since 1942, so with BF3 they just said "fuck it" and removed it from game.
my brother who mostly plays dota2 once saw that i launch BF3 from browser and started laughing hysterically hardly believing his eyes. and i must agree with him, there's not a single reason why everything battlelog does can't be in-game, except DICE incompetence in making server browsers.

Well, to each his own. I actually happen to really like the browser based system and think it's one of the better features they introduced. I find it very convenient
In-game server browser is like Metro in Win8. Who needs fullscreen to choose a server? I much prefer to select server from external application and wait for the game to load, and only then switch to fullscreen game.
But I guess DICE could implement in-game battlelog overlay/menu to please those who prefer in-game server browser.
You can actually browse the servers in-game. Just hit shift+f1 and fire up the browser (chrome) from within the "Origin in game" menu. Then just go to battlelog and you're set.
I assume that the bf4 servers will be up and running by now in europe... once its activated through korea, surely there is a way to set only origin to use the korean vpn and the bf4 exe to use your connection, like that we can start playing multiplayer from this afternoon correct??
