If you place the folder "Battlefield 4" in the location you have pointed Origin's installer too then it should detect the existing files and only download what differs. Smile

Wonderful! I "borrowed" completed campaign saves, I only had to finish last mission once and everything unlocked. Now I won't have to endure this singleplayer shit.

what happens if you reload half empty mags? anyone looked at it? had the feeling you lose the bullets, which is perfectly fine when they are kept for the last magazine (like in arma)

Yeah, you lose the bullets. Though depends on server setting, on one server last night I didn't lose them

Let's see:

- crashes occur on ~ 1 map out of 3
- hit detection is... abysmal (try playing a sniper)
- lag and chewing-gum-banding happens in at least 1 map out of 2
- microstuttering is still there

I tell you: BETA has not ended. Smile

mh thought maybe its a hardcore feature but i think it happened on normal too. kinda bad that you have to check it first on every server, normally i do not reload a half empty mag but when not loosing the bullets everybody does it so it would give me a disadvantage not to do

It must be a bug, if you fire 1 bullet you lose the entire magazine, which isn't even logical in the real world, no soldier would ever toss that magazine.

As far as netcode, it's pretty bad. All around I find infantry less fun than BF3 simply because the netcode can't handle this COD-like laser weapons and low TTK gameplay.

What are you scratching your head about? The guns have no recoil in this and everyone dies in 3 hits. It's turned it into a game of who see's who first spawn-kill-die thanks to the netcode.

If you seriously can't tell they have tried their very best to copy COD gameplay with BF4 I dunno what to say

Problem is for all its faults COD doesn't have the awful netcode of BF4

anyone know if it's possible to hide this from the HUD?

Kind of annoying where it shows :/ Possibly in the config somewhere? JB to the rescue?

I'd love to know this as well... Very Happy

Also, if anyone knows how to disable all the annoying shit like "YOU WERE PROMOTED, CONGRATULATIONS RETARD!!!" would be ace as well cause those are annoying and clutter the screen.

You can see the entire config file in the file PROFSAVE_profile in the "C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Battlefield 4\settings"

It's not encrypted or anything so a simple edit with notepad works. Smile

Unfortunately short of setting the HUD scale to zero in the config or hiding it with the UI. related console command I don't think you can disable anything individually.
(And that also hides other useful information plus some additional things like the subtitles.)

Nice to know at least, I'll poke around there and see if there is anything else that might be useful. Like you said, it's just too bad parts of the HUD can't be individually disabled, perhaps in a later patch they will let us customize even further. Thanks for the reply JB.

Did some quick googling but found nothing (only that the method for BF3 doesn't seem to work with this one)

Delicious...simply delicious. Laughing
