Well, I won't fuck around with my system anymore because I'm 100% sure that the problems are purely caused by the game itself. They need to fix their shit..
The PROFSAVE file should I put it in in x:\my documents\xxxxx\\xx\bf4\ foldeR?
I did so and still all missions are not unlocked in battleog....
Oh I got some confllict message regarding the save file
Move it to C:\Users\xx\Documents\Battlefield 4\settings
Start the game, select last mission, finish it. You'll get all unlocks.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Dont need to finish it, just start it and play for a couple of minutes, don't know if its the first checkpoint save that does it, but I wasnt even off the deck.
Had some very good matches last night, finally able to not suck! Only took me 5 days to get some of my skill back Was playing support and sniping mostly
I've now had a chance to play every map, but it seems that Dawnbreaker is always the hardest map to find, I never see any servers playing it unless I directly look for them.. and even if I do it's like 2 server with high pings I really enjoy that map in TDM, but so hard to find!
Very happy they added domination to the gameplay modes, love it. Domination + Flood Zone = Happy tw1st.

I love all the butthurt virgins screaming "no lifer!!11" -- yeaaaaah, like those fucks haven't put hundreds upon hundreds of hours into BF3 and will do the same with BF4
Someone might have posted this before, I haven't tried any of these methods because I'm getting decent performance and I dont like messing with settings like this anyway.
I played a few games at lunch in which I would get my ass handed to me badly.... massively outbalanced teams and resulted mostly of me spawning and instantly dying...

dice has really surprised me on how unpolished this title is. performance was all over the place too. maybe it was just bad pings or something even though i was getting 60 odd which seems fine to me.
hoping for a patch to sort out some basic performance and gameplay issues or im going back to bf3...
i actually think bf3 at its present stage versus bf4 is miles ahead....
i dont know if i can be assed to wait 6 months for them to pull their finger out. i'll be bored of waiting by then and the game is already leaving me with a bad impression this time round by dice.
what the fuck is up with hit detection?? im hoping its just server issues and not hard coded into the game... qa testing these days seems to get worse and worse.

1. The ammo thing... a few days ago when reloading you would lose your ammo, this now seems to be fixed. This was intended for hardcore mode only correct?
2. Counter knifing... I can't seem to do this. I assume it can only be done when someone is knifing you from the front.... not when someone is sneaking up behind you? I don't get the prompt for it (maybe I disabled it due to having game hints & tips off?)
3. Field upgrades... don't really get how this works... More squad kills, resupplies, revives....etc raises the level? If your whole squad wipes, you lose everything?
4. When you have the defib equipped, you are supposed to be able to revive players by pressing "e" on their bodies. It is supposed switch from your gun to your defibs and revive them instantly. Can anyone confirm this? I can not get this to happen.

2 I only had this happen once. Someone was sneaking up on me from behind and I quickly turned when they tried to knife me. The 'F' key was displayed for a while (well, maybe a second or so) before I noticed it and pressed it.

1. Correct - HC setting by default, but as with many other things you can choose to enable it on your server.
2. Intended to work only if someone tries to knife from the front, yes. Didn't have a chance in the final game yet, but did it a couple of times in the beta. Prompt appeared then - it's the same melee button you would use for knifing.
3. Squad actions raise the level yes (anything with the word "squad" in it when you get the points, pretty much ). You lose one level when your squad gets wiped, afaik.
Edit: 4. I tried doing that when Aeon mentioned it - didn't work for me.
Edit 2: In regards to field upgrades... Sources say you indeed reset to level 1 when squad gets wiped - could work that way. I didn't pay much attention - often enough the squad got wiped only when we didn't have many levels to begin with
