RAM usage is currently at 1.9 GB, unsure if it'll continue to grow as the game goes on but maybe it doesn't properly unload those cached resources?
(Which isn't good if so.)

Sorry JB, I'm not laughing at you mate <3 I guess now we know why the XB has to run at 720

Wait....wat?!?!

It runs at around 40 FPS with your machine?!?
Yeah, drivers might do quite a bit but holy fuck.
I was thinking about maybe actually buying it for the MP just to switch it up a bit from BF3/4 but after reading that...fuck no.
The fact that it absolutely refuses to run with <6 GB of RAM should be enough to sound the "unoptimized piece of shit" alarm Laughing

Yup, was giving this game a thought since it's supposed to be "next-gen" but no, not going to waste my time/money on this when I have BF4.
I tried BO1 which was lagging like ass for me when it came out and barely had any graphical updates to previous games.

No way am I playing a shooter online that barely looks like an upgrade from BO2 and doesn't play at a steady 60FPS (even though 90 is the sweetspot for me).

Performance is now a constant 60+ (~82 in the current scene.) I disabled MSAA which was only at 2x but that solved it, seems driver related.

MSAA Laughing
If I play any games in downsampled from 2100x1314 with SMAA+Sharpen, it usually takes a smaller performance hit than 4xMSAA and looks better than 8xMSAA.

Depends on the game, but yeah deferred rendering and DX11 (Or 10) then SSAA or downsampling might work better. Smile
(Which is why MSAA didn't work very well in Metro 2033 and was replaced with various SSAA modes in 2034 / Last Light.)

No, I've found nothing like that unfortunately.
(I found SMAA in the AA options at the end of the list so I'm using that now over MSAA, there's probably TXAA too when you have a CUDA compatible GPU.)

EDIT: You can alter the config file, it's not encrypted like in Black Ops 2 Smile

If they're a cod kiddy, they're already on console.

If they're trying to play on PC, there may still be hope for them yet Smile.

Well, it should be obvious that the lock is artificial, since it simply checks how much RAM you have. Doesn't mean you won't run into any problems once you get around it.

That's for history to decide Very Happy
I am just saying that kind of a lock would have to be artificial either way.

Pretty sure its just a check.
As JBeckman reported it used 1.1 GB RAM for him and he is definitely not playing on low.

It's not hard to make it preload assets or whatever into RAM so yeah I expected it to use more than 1.9GB. Also keep in mind asking for 6GB doesn't mean it will use 6GB, maybe 4GB + 2GB OS/apps to be safe.

But as it is right now, it's very surprising. Unless RAM usage is higher in MP?

This is a trick! Legit users wont be able to play with less than 6 GB RAM.
Pirates will play it and this is excuse to blame PC pirating

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/04/why-is-call-of-duty-ghosts-is-720p-on-xbox-one-and-1080p-on-playstation

"That’s just the way the optimisation came out to. To keep a smooth frame rate we needed to be 720p on Xbox One. That being said, it is being upscaled to 1080p, so it is outputting 1080p on your TV, and for the most part the game does look really good. Some people actually think the textures look a little bit nicer maybe on Xbox than they do on PS4."

I loved this part of the article:

""This is the first game on the console and there's a lot for us to learn with the new hardware so it's a long-running process - you compare COD 2 to COD 4 it's a massive leap forward in graphical fidelity."

Yeah, good example, cause there's almost no difference from COD 4 to COD ghosts
