@StarShine
Yeah, I have no problems admitting that the game is extremely difficult in places and that was me only playing on normal. Laughing
Check out hard, new enemies, new strategy, a combo can kill 2-3 hits from a boss kills (sometimes lesser)
As GP hinted at there are guys out there that play this non stop and there only happy when there beating the bosses in a certain way preferably without taking damage, for me I don't take it too seriously its just a way to while away a couple of hours I was happy enough to complete the game (again) by any means because in my opinion it isn't the sort of game that you can put in front of your average gamer and have them speed run their way through it.
Yeah they are nerds/master players, but I guess it's how you plan your day... Are you gonna spend tons of hours on this specific game or .... remember people who only buy retail games has a share number of money meaning, a bought game is more valued then say you download/burn a game. Good games I tend to play more the one time. If you buy the game retail you tend to replay it more then once. And NGB is a game I'd love to do over 3-4 times, just because of the story/music/content etc etc...
Some stats: (NGB Hard)
A Ryu Clone (1 small potion, his ninpus did damage (unblockable) I think 1 small potion is a good score don't you agree?
B Alma 2 small potions
C 2 Tanks 1 small potion
D Helicopter 1 small potion
As for the game, the more I play it the more I think I could look back in 10 years time and happily refer to it as a "classic" of its time. Just everythiing about it the unlockables, secrets, weapons, costumes, cut scenes, boss fights and the sheer depth of the game are something which is missing from the majority of games nowadays
Well put, i couldn't have said it better my self.. Games today are too easy, or stupid, like that kiddie game fable (what a disapointment)
@Nailbiter
so very true.
its a quality title for sure.
the world in itself and how places are combined is amazing.
the different fighting styles to what weapon and yeah, i can go on forever...
have anyone figured out how to run on water btw? heard there was a way.
Agreed, oh run over the water and press the jump button (A)

I was tempted just to see how I measured up, tryed a few of the missions on mission mode and yeah they were fun but I think im done with this game at least for a couple of months.

I wouldn't go as far as to say they are nerds im genuinely impressed with what those guys can do, I'd even go as far as to say that im impressed with your own and Nailbiter's progress through the game.
I've honestly never considered that whether or not I had bought a game or warezed it made a big decision in how much time I spend playing it GP Force. Theres a thread on the PC Games section at the moment called "Light Side of Nforce" in which I posted pictures of some of my games collection in it, only the retail games of course. Looking at them now on the shelves the huge factor in how much time I spend on games is just how much stuff comes out these days. Ever since the Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox came out the amount of games being released by publishers seems to have doubled its became expected that every month theres gonna be umpteen different games coming out generally several of which are highly anticipated titles and then theres the PC games market as well all of which I take an interest in and still play and buy games on. Plus im a huge retro games fan.
Take a recent title as an example Dungeon Siege 2 on PC, a brilliant game and one which I completed pretty easily, the game must have taken 30-40 hours to complete maybe longer, I could quite happily have replayed the game using different classes of characters playing a different alignment playing harder difficulty level, playing multiplayer all of which could potentially result in 200+ hours of play with me still not seeing every possible variation of play. To do that and still try to keep up with the best games on PC, PS2, Xbox and Gamecube though just isn't possible. So thats my reason for sometimes seeming to skim across games completing them quickly then putting them to bed for at least a couple of months.

I always had a soft spot for Fable its about 20 hours too short and its no Baldurs Gate 2 but the one good thing that did come from it is evident on this and just about every other PC Games forum. Lots of byast PC gamesplayers slating the game before it even came out because it was a console title, then when it did come out they were the same ones that were amazed at it posting all the "OMFG this is amazing" comments. Even if you thought it was a piss poor game that sort of thing has to give you some form of amusement.
