The campaign also has the sound bug, it's unplayable like that. Can't believe dice is letting us wait so long for a fix

Somewhat helpful, helped me at least. |
Thanks, there's also some helpful tool mentioned in the comments for Win7 users that disables automatic core parking.

Thanks, I'll try the user.cfg trick as soon as my internet connection gets fixed. The last time that I played I had 3 consecutive crashes in 15 minutes. |
Haven't had any crash since doing this. Although siege of shanghai runs below 30 fps for some reason. Not an issue tho, i hate the map.

The poorest performing maps for me are Shanghai and Hainan Resort, especially after both levolution events have been triggered. |
Hainan Resort runs well here. Levolution triggered or not. I can't figure out Shanghai tho, beta ran just fine, in the full game it runs absolute shit.

Hard coded buttons on the Xbox controller for PC, FUCKING REALLY? Cant use Trigger 1 as Decel in jets since i locks the jet in Freelook mode, even if Freelook is unbinded or binded to something else.
How fucking stupid can this be.

I miss 2142 - the weapons, setting, and just general ambiance was awesome. Shame the Titan attack/defense stuff was just camp spam crap.

The .cfg file boosted performance a little for me, but it just made the game look like it was running on lower settings. I'm not sure what the point of using it is, if you could just lower them all in game. And I also crashed in Siege of Shanghai while using it.

The only stage in a match where "camp spam" could occur was right in the end when trying to destroy the consoles controlling the protective shield of the titan core room, but even then, it wasn't nearly as bad as the awful clusterfuck Operation Metro (Conquest) was in BF3 for the simple reason that not every single person on the server had to be fighting at the same spot, there were at least 2-3 separate battles going on all the time (enemy Titan, friendly Titan, and on the ground across 5 flags where you could win the match as well). So, 64 players were distributed over all those different localized battles.
Simply put, the best multiplayer mode in a first-person shooter ever

Uh? Really? The changes seem to be very subtle, mostly related to disabling motion blur and some shadow effects in the distance. I tried both my combination of ultra/high settings vs. this cfg file and the difference in image quality was marginal if any.
I've yet to test the effects on performance and stability though. I'm about to launch a mp session and will comment a bit later.

...I just fired up my PC.
What a shitty start to what I hoped would be a great weekend. Fuck.
EDIT:
If anyone ever stumbles upon this again, cut+paste the executables from your BF4 root folder to another location, restart the pc, place them back after restart.

i also, as suspected, think the user.cfg stuff is just a placebo and nothing else. Just had my first 2 crashes of the day .. on the first 2 rounds played ...

Just installed BF4 yesterday and it was running fine. Only there was a problem with the colors in the game. I saw all kinds of rainbow colors trough the game. That wasn't right for sure it shouldn't be there in the game. I didn't change any v ideo settings to see if i could resolve it. So i thought maybe the first patch will resolve this. After installing the patch and apply the update crack it didn't start at all. The game errored out with somekind of error like: Core/Activation.dll couldn't load or something like that..A hot head that i am i just uninstalled the game.
I will try this game again when i have some more information on the problem that i have. I must say that the game runned quite nicely on my geforce 650m. But let me first finish cod and then i will look into it again. The game seems nice and single-player will be a nice time kill like cod...
Maybe someone here have this same problem on 1.0 and have some usefull information for me.
Eiter way thanks for usefull information.
Have a nice day! (Win7 64bit btw)

I don't crash but is it me or are the hit boxes awful? So many invisible walls that stop me from hitting enemies, it's not funny!
