So no Battle-shit-Field for me for at least a week until I get my card back. Laughing

"The colorful blur that keeps getting mentioned is because of the Network Smoothing option. Increase the setting to stop seeing it. I was running at 0% Network Smoothing pre patch but now I have to run 50%."

Anyone tested this? So much rage on the forums though, they seem to broke more than they fixed (who said it first here? Laughing). What a bunch of noobs at DICE.

I have been running it at 0%, and I can't say I have this effect. Will test later, perhaps I simply didn't notice it.

No crashes so far, but I got them pretty rarely to begin with.
Netcode.. can't really comment. Seemed like less of an issue, but it's not like it was always problematic before the patch. Needs more game-time.

As for the sound issue. Was it actually even supposed to be fixed in this patch?

LOL, I just noticed the blur effect while playing a different map (50% network smoothing here). I might not have noticed it in the previous map I played. I can't believe DICE broke new tuff and we'll have to wait now like a week or more for a hotfix Laughing

Actually, normally you would have to wait like 3 months. But 1 week for a hotfix is still unacceptable

How to speedup your download:

Create EACore.ini file on your desktop and put this in it:

Code:
[connection]
EnvironmentName=production

[Feature]
CdnOverride=akamai

After this reboot our Origin and answer yes to the question would u use config file from your desktop.

Download should continue within a few seconds...

Just played a bit with the new patch and holy shit, my framerate is where it was on release (if not better).

What do you mean by this exactly?

Did your average FPS decrease after release?

Yeah, a couple of days after the release my framerate was fluctuating oddly and random framerate hits.
Now I only tested it for five minutes but I'll get to try it out later to see how it is in the long run.

Shanghai didn't seem to crash for me, but I did get those weird blur effects on occasion, so they definitely screwed something up.
Perhaps it's a feature - supposed to signify something? Very Happy

Also got a first graphical artifact (like I would sometimes get with BF3 when overclocking) and I didn't have those for months and not a single time in BF4 until now.

Had to play with this thing sticking out of my hand for the entire match:
