Not sure why you think building a community literally means the physical act of construction and physical planning, when there's clearly more to it than that.

Also not sure why you assume wealth can only come from abusing others.

I'd also love to see how those on earth would survive without income from the jobs from Elysium. It's clearly an unbalanced and unequal scenario, but both sides still benefit, and given the state humanity as a whole had gotten itself in to, if I had to pick a side that COULD thrive on its own if pressed, I'd have bet on Elysium.

As for your last comment, as I said, Elysium wasn't just about medicine, it was about thinking you are entitled to what others have... Thinking it's your right to take thing away from them. I also said, to me, if the medicine getting to earth was the ultimate and only goal, or making earth better was the outcome, that would have been a noble goal and I would have enjoyed the film more... But sadly that isn't the underlying theme of the film.

The "employers" living on Elysium were doing so off the backs of others, enforcing their own brutal law and working conditions on those less fortunate just so they can continue living in paradise.

Just like in real life

Matt Damon please go back being the stupid guy in Ocean's movies and leave the hero thingy to someone else. He ruined the movie for me with his "acting".. Sad

Elysium was about the fact that rich people didn't gave a fuck about the poor people. Yeah they took the station in the end but the moral should be that the wealthy should try to help the less fortunate and not make artificial borders between classes.
In other words the rich in Elysium were like Steve Jobs and should be like Bill Gates Razz

Matt Damon is friggin' awesome, he's been awesome in every single film I've seen him in. He has won over a dozen awards and been nominated for nearly SIXTY more, yet "his shitty acting" ruined the film for you and he should "go back to being the stupid guy in Ocean's movies"? Really? Oh well, that's your opinion after all. Personally I think he was great and very believable in Elysium Smile

Quite the opposite for me. Very underwhelming for an ex car thief who used to be a legend, didnt believe him for a second. Also disliked every movie he was in after Contagion.. it all went down hill from there with Elysium being his worst act yet imo Very Happy Getting a bit sick of seeing him i guess

Rush 9/10 !
Maybe because i haven't been to the theatre so long.

But either way, this movie is AWESOME and I've never even watched F1 for longer than 3 minutes.

The best moment was in the last race when my gilrfiend moved my hand on her chest. I thought she wanted me to feel her boob and then she was like "no stupid! Feel how my heart is racing!". Yeah, it's a good adrenaline RUSH!

Red 2

Helen Mirren <3

Actually the entire cast was great. Wonderful to see Bruce Willis back looking like he gives half a shit about what he's doing on screen! Loads of fun, and a cool, meaty story. Laughed quite a few times, and the action scenes were cool. Not as much fun as the first one, but definitely a great feel-good film worth a watch!

6.5/10

getaway.

Why her. Seriously.... Why. Her. Can't have been a money thing, I'm positive how ever little money they had to hire an actress, there are plenty of hotter, more talented actresses out there that would work cheaper. If it hadn't been her, the film would have been greatly improved.

The other problem was that it was just soooo fucking stupid... though, given its a dumb action flick, I can tolerate that shit more than I can the annoying chick.

Other than that, it wasn't bad. It was cop-car porn, is what it was... And enjoyable enough for that alone. People involved in the making of this film were getting off to all those cop car smashes, I guarantee it... The action wasn't bad, there was plenty of it, so it was genuinely enjoyable enough...

5.5/10

Not a bad little 90 minute rarrr drivey drivey smash smash flick Razz

The Worlds End 8/10 Very Happy

It started as such a normal movie about a bunch of old friends drinking togheter xD

edit: hm, it seems like the movie is sorta part of an unofficial trilogy with hot fuzz and Shaun of the dead, interesting, they are all such great movies.

Crystal Fairy 8/10

Nice to see Michael Cera in something other than a comedy.

Movie is about a couple guys (Cera and 3 latinos) on a roadtrip through chile with the goal of finding some san pedro cactus and get high on the beach. But it's not some american kinda story. And they meet crystal fairy, some hippie (and apparently dominatrix .. don't ask lol). All very subtle and "real". it was shown at the Sundance festival.

Anyways, nice movie.
