The last of us takes it with GTA V in a close second,
keep in mind gta has been done for years and years the last of us was truly something new in a very rare survival horrror genre (you know the REAL survival horror games where you have 2 bullets left and 5 guys to take out, only 2 i can think of that were like this RE1 and silent hill, re2 i was loaded with ammo)

I agree with cyta77, Last of Us takes the cake and GTA 5 a close second
As i said earlier its a perfect 10 for me, no complaints.

BioShock 3 is a broken mess of false advertisement with a totally changed story line a incoherent plot , with content cut to make 3 different games
GTA 5 is nothing else then GTA 4 but this time its more of a memory lane game for the GTA fan , a game for fans ... that tells where the hoes ahem hohos ahamam heroes of GTA 3 + GTA SA + GTA VICE + GTA 4 went ... meh game///oh oh oh but don't forget the 200mln $ advertisement campaign to RISE AWARENESS ABOUT THIS ... game

Tomb Raider would have been better if Lara and co bothered to tell each other what was going on, it was fucking painful listening to their petty arguments when they're getting hunted down like animals. Good example was the beginning, Lara gets kidnapped of the beach, dragged into some caves, hung upside down, escaped by landing on a metal rod, watched her pursuer die, and didn't seem to think telling her friends what happened was the way to go.
Or the part where the token black woman gets all jealous of Lara, despite them getting hunted like animals. It was Far Cry 3 levels of bad. Apart from that I did like the game.
GOTY
Deadly Premonition, awesome and shit at the same time, a work of genius.
The Last of Us, at least some companies try to make something different.
GTA V, despite it being less than it should have been, I started playing Dark Souls instead of finishing it.
Not played much else on console this year.
