The way it worked with PS3 is that you could create an account in any country you wished - it didn't really verify your region. So if you want USD prices, you create an account for US. You could then buy the games from that account, but at the same time games can be played on the same PS3 on any account. So you could buy the game with the best price, and play it one "real" account.

this is very relevant to me as well. i'm in europe but i want to pay for games in usd. i hope it's possible some way, because paying 60 euros for a game is way too much as i'm from one of less developed eu countries.
yeah same here. PLN prices in Poland seem to be the same as Euro prices. USD is about 25% cheaper
As I am checking the psn site for pl psn,,, it seems that new game like ghost, bf4 or ac4 cost 280pln... my god...that is 280pln and I am earninga bout 1700pln
So I have polish salary but european prices - seems fair
(and add on top of that that ps4 costs exactly my whole month of payment )
oh and year of psn is 200pln but thats a whole year so the price seems ok

I can't see Sony changing anything in the way PSN works, it's suited them just fine for years and changing it now would just alienate portions of their userbase.
The prices for new games are pretty high on consoles either way. But it is ridiculous just how much of a difference it is. 70€ for NFS Rivals is apparently the EU price. It's $60 in US.
You save around 25€ by using the US PSN cards, but it's still around 45€.
And that's for PS3. PS4 games seem to cost a 10€+ premium at the moment...
besides terrible resolution and shimmering... and framerate
This actually look like a fun game. Gfx detail is nice too. Especially characters faces and animation

Since amazon.com reopened their psn store it should be possible to buy the games there for the $ prices and then use a second us account to activate them.
All without needing to buy psn cards. Sounds really nice.

not sure if deelix is laughing at english or just being hopeless xbox fanboy, but yes, Xbone is about 50% less powerful than the PS4. it's been confirmed and proven time and time again from many different sources.
The Playstation 4 has an 8 core 1.6GHz AMD Jaguar APU with a graphics solution roughly as powerful as a Radeon 7870.
The Xbox One has an 8 core 1.6GHz AMD Jaguar APU with a graphics solution roughly as powerful as a Radeon 7790.
The Playstation 4 has 8GB of 256 bit GDDR5 RAM shared between the CPU and GPU.
The Xbox One has 8GB of DDR3 RAM shared between the CPU and GPU.
Tiny difference and is (should be) irrelevant to why people prefer the PS4.
I wouldnt' say either console is more or less powerfull. Those first games are not indicating of perfomrance at all.

But yeah, ill get the PS4... and the X1 if/when its hacked and have dropped in price.
My feelings as well, I might opt for the X1 one day, when the price drop happens and there are some exclusive's I want to play, till then I am perfectly fine with my PS4

they are totally not indicative.... Those were FIRST games this gen. Developers didn't even knew full specs for the whole developement of their games...
We have to wait a year or two. Remember that games like uncharted, gears of war hitted one year after release
