Listed where? Key for what? Steam or uPlay? Either way all you need to do is copy one english language file (called localization.lang) over your existing and it should do the trick. So far all editions I saw contained English always.

If I use a lang file the game wants to reautentify itself on uplay ( it was a uplay key ). The same like with the battlefield4 russian keys that where tied in the origin account.

Played this last night on my new rig. Amazing engine.

Favorite part is the moving vegetation foilage that you interact with.

VERY nice to hear that the feature is a next-next-gen exclusive and PC exclusive.

Hmm, not sure then. What I would try in a first place:
1. Quit uPlay
2. Change language to English and locale to en-US in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Ubisoft\
3. Change language in the game's settings
4. Try to start AC4BFSP.exe separately from uPlay (while uPlay active)

So what's the consensus on the game? Outside of it being a port, is the game itself worth acquiring, and is the story any good?

If you fan of other Ac games (at least 2) - yes.
Otherwise - only if you find very cheap deal and quite bored.

I really like it. Sure it has potential to be sooo much better, but there's no other pirating game (except for old games) so even this is great for me Smile

Holy frame rate drop Batman! Surprised

This game is probably the worst performing of any Ass Creed game out there. I had to kill a shit load of options to somewhat get a mildly playable frame rate. Had to disable God Rays, Volumetric Fog & Ambient Occlusion. Also, had to set Shadows to 'Very High' and AA to 'FXAA'. Everything else (whatever is left ) was maxed out. I'm still barely touching 30fps. The intro sequence was locked at 30 throughout. At first, I thought, it might be some V-Sync bug, but during a cut-scene it switched to 60fps and then I realised, I was pretty much fucked.

Guess I'll just have to be content with what we have here. Ubisoft really needs to work on their engine. It's proving to be an even bigger bitch than Cryengine 3. Mad

In case anyone is wondering, my rig is a ancient Core i5 3570, GTX560Ti 2GB and 8GB DDR III memory.

Don't worry, it's all normal..sort of Very Happy, my system is similar to yours (i2500k@4.3Ghz/GTX570/8GB) and I'm definitely struggling to keep the framerate around the 30s if I don't use FXAA instead of MSAA/disable soft shadows.
Let's look on the bright side, the "nextgen" consoles are suffereing it, too. Razz (30fps, as usual..and even less when things get hectic).

As for the game itself, it's my favourite Assassin's Creed so far after AC2, nothing innovative but at least it's not an interactive movie anymore.

I'd take the PC version any day over consoles (this or the next generation). Wink

Ixi, do you honestly feel the level of visuals it has, justifies this arsed performance? I mean I haven't even properly started it yet, but the character models look so lousy. The rest of the environment isn't overtly special either. I have seen way better looking visuals in Far Cry 3, whilst attaining a good frame rate.

With all the good things I've heard about the missions and side activities, that's something I'm looking forward to and hope it completely erases the horrible memory of Assassin's Creed III.

Far too many releases for the length the franchise has been out especially since it is not a MP focused game.

In all honesty, absolutely not. Razz It's clearly a masked old-gen game with some advanced shaders here and there, not a big improvement over ACIII if we exclude the great water effects. They're probably pushing this engine to its limits, and it's never a good thing when it comes to optimization. The next AssCreed will definitely need a new "nextgenerer" engine.

If you didn't like ACIII you'll probably end up liking this one, it's very different (for the good reasons in my opinion^^).

Weird, I've got a pretty high end system but my game is configured with high settings and it's SUPER smooth (no judder, hitching, graphical errors, flaws, etc).
It's soo smooth that I was pretty amazed with the fact actually.
What I DO notice however is that the game slows down after I've been in a menu.
When I quit a menu and wait 2 seconds the game will "speedup" again, first time I've experienced that in a game.
Perhaps a badly cracked game won't "speedup"?
Or maybe it's memory related?
Using V4 and a rig with the following specs: 3930k@4.1/780GTX/64GB
