He's telling the truth There is a COMPLEX release of Ghosts for XBOX ONE floating around. It could be fake, of course, but it's definitely there as a 42GB BD-ISO

non-changeable? really?? WTF microsoft?
Looks like MS are sticking to their 360 practices, though of course they'll put out an "official" (read: off-the-shelf HDD flashed with their custom security sector) replacement down the line... for a nominal fee, of course
COMPLEX is proud to present the very first game data sector dump of an
XBOX ONE game - even before the official console launch date
This release contains a 42gb .iso without security sectors. These can
be patched in later on before burning the iso to disc.
The disc itself has a new format (XGD4 / XBOX Game Data 4) and contains
a few folders (licenses, msxc and metadata) with some .png and catalog
files plus one large package1.xvc file of 41,285,020 kb length.
If xbone is already(its not) hacked and ps4 won't be then i know what I will get

And KZ looks better than Ryse IMO. Better lighting (note how Ryse, while running on CryEngine3, has surprisingly little light sources, I wonder why...), not the insane motion-blur-all-the-things-because-it-fixes-framerates and areas bigger than a toilet.
They seem to run very fine from the footage I've seen, 30fps with dips or not. And even if the videos wouldn't show it, I assume if the frame rate is that bad, people playing the games would have mentioned something regarding that.
Yeah, technically KZ and Knack look great, but the overall visuals (artstyle+setting) are bland, especially KZ. But that's just from what I've seen (1-2 hrs of both). In that same amount of time, the footage I've seen from Ryse and DR3 looks more impressive/interesting, like games I'd want to play or at least try out. Witch I can't say about KZ or Knack.
I especially like the look in Ryse, with stuff like facial animations and physics from the hair/tunics/leather straps on characters to the stuff in the environment like vegetation foliage, water waves and flags/banners flapping. I also like the lighting and the overall look it gives.
Then there's DR3 witch has a lot of stuff on screen at once + a ton of zombies and from what I saw and what reviewers are saying, it runs very smooth and has no loading times.
And now that I've seen Forza 5, that looks fantastic, and from what I've seen from the videos/reviews it moves and plays like a dream.
It's subjective and I'm not saying that the xone is better or more powerful than the PS4, just that, for now at least, the lunch lineups seem more attractive on the xone than the PS4. And at the end of the day, it's about the games running on these systems, and not the boxes.
Having said that, I'm sure things would look very different if Infamous SS would have been a system lunch title; dat game looks friggin awesome!

i`m sorry, my mistake:
The statement from the team is that a locked 30fps is targeted here, but in the build we saw there's a huge gap to be bridged in this regard; drops to 20fps are consistent and sustained when outdoors, with 16fps being our record low during some of the biggest explosions.
appears it was 16, no 15, sorry again
seriously, for a price of xbone + 1-2 games you could build yourself quite nice pc rig + get new batman/splinter/assassin for free with nvidia, or bf4 with ati, and "yarr" everything else for zero amount of moneyz
Not sure what "team" you're referring to but the E3 and other preview builds were a mess, and frame rate was all over the place, that's true. But I'm talking about the retail build, witch, like I said, from what I saw on multiple videos and from what multiple reviewers are saying, it's not the case as the game runs smooth (with one or two exceptions where the frame rate dips a bit in certain zones).
As for the PC vs console comparison, I have a PC and most people that buy consoles nowadays have PCs as well. I like having a PC and one or more console as there are games that I want to play on my PC and there are games that I want to play on my consoles. And I, like most other people, don't want to replace one with the other as each of them scratch a different itch.
To make my point and help you realize how silly that 'PC over console' or vice versa line sounds, imagine that one of these days you're going to hear the next gen of that line regarding 'tablet/smartphone over PC'.

Physics?
Sorry KC, but by saying you like the physics you're basically saying you haven't looked at any of it, because there are no physics in there that would make anyone go wow. The bits where shit gets destroyed are scripted. If that somehow wows you, then what the fuck did HL2 do to you, let alone more recent games
There's not even proper collision detection ffs, how can this shit impress you? Compared to PS360, yes, but you've seen better on your PC by now.

It is that unstable, there are long sequences where it basically tops out at 28. And people did mention that already
As for the rest of the game, good animations (although they should have been more gesture based, now they get cut off too often). All the cloth stuff (tunics, banners)? Not physics. That's animated. Same goes for when you kick ladders and what not. There are no physics there, that's animated; again, there isn't even collision detection, Marius' foot doesn't even touch things and they still "fall" over.
I find it worrying that CryTek manages to fool so many people.
Oh well, it'll just make the good developers look even better. Come on Naughty Dog, do your thing
I can guarentee the Xbox will be hacked before ps4,
I like the ps4 a lot but just by going around forums most devs still getting Xbox one.
And I don't know why, maybe because of the Xbox hacking scene dunno
Ima just sit off for a while and see what unfolds before I buy anything

Right there, between min 3 and 5, that banner flaps when Marius is fighting near it and it gets touched/hit. The tunics/"skirts" are not animated, it's obvious by the way it moves and flaps even after the characters stop moving.
In that GB QL video, those physics effects are more obvious, the hair on the heavy/fat barbarians and the pelt bits on their tunics, along with the lower part of it. The foliage seems to move similarly to that in Crysis 1, but I can't say for sure; it might be a cheap flap effect to give that illusion.
Then there are waves/ripples as he moves in the river water, it's not always obvious due to the gearsish camera angle, but it can be spotted in some frames.
I find it hard to believe all of that is just animated, but I also can't say for sure that it isn't until I have first hand experience with the game. But as I'm looking at it, it looks pretty damn close to the real thing.
Don't know about ladders or debrief, I was not referring to that as I was not paying attention to it.
None of these are huge, all of those effects have been in x360/ps3 games (cloth effects similar to that in RDR/AC3&4), hell even PS2 games had water ripples (GoW 1&2/Onimusha /Ghost Hunter/ BG DA), but all that in one scene adds to the overall visual IMO. Plus I'm a sucker for pretty water ripples (none of that TES shader bullshit pls).
Btw, when I say physics, I don't mean PhysiX stuff.
Oh you got the wrong guy if you think that I mean PhysX, just read my thoughts on that crap in the PC section
Those banners flap randomly all the time though, just look at them when he's not near them. I'll check the tunics again tomorrow, but I highly doubt they are simulated. Same sequence, look at the ladders he kicks. 1m away from it and it still falls. That's aside from the constant clipping
