I don't see how collecting toys is silly but video games or stamps or coins is not. Both are silly, and people waste money on useless hobby which makes them happy.

Obviously toys is a bit more silly, but i think they're cool anyway. If they didn't cost as such i might have bought a few myself.

To me collecting coins is more silly of course...
... this argument is retarded, everyone likes whatever it is they like, while looking at other people spending money on other stuff as idiotic.

My great grandfather collected coins from all different currencies. When my grandfather died, I got the collection. It's safely stored away, and I guess it could be worth something to someone, so I'll just keep it for my son, or my sons son.
Myself, I collect steam games.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
