I don't know to be honest... It may be that buying multiple keys of popular games over the holiday is a no-no becuase of possible reselling issues, or limited numbers of keys (or both). Or it might just be that their payment processing system is under strain. Could go either way, though I will say I've never had anything like that happen, so chances are it's a cock-up.
They shouldn't revoke the first key, though, since payment will already have been sent through (or be in the pipeline), so it's not all bad.

I have a separate US amazon account with a US address and I always use a virtual cc with it. Never have any probs.

If the card does not match billing address in location they just lock the account. They also say they are sorry about that and you may try to contact Support about your machinations.

Well that friend of mine just gave up, BF4 was discounted on our origin as well, so he just bought the second copy there.
He got premium for both at gamersgate where it's 30% off.
So he payed like €60,- for both the game and premium, which is still an ok-ish price tbh.

Not my experience at all. I live in Canada. For U.S. deals I just registered through U.S. VPN (not even sure this was necessary), put in Seattle for hometown, put in a zip code from that city and all was well. They took it fine. My CC didn't mind either - keying in on other authentification aspects.

On Steam forums I found an old thread and apparently you get the key for the season pass once the game is redeemed, in the game properties.
