Prolly the compression of the movies, the DVD has a bit higher quality movies, just like the previous BiA.

PC: Yes. Console: No.

hey anyone know how to solve this problem

burned the images on dvd, mounted them from my usb drive, wanted to start (started sfcure , etc). it says "key not accepted" or sth like that...

starting them from hdd, every clone works....isn´t it possible to burn them on a dvd and mount/play from there? mounted from a usb drive via alc? don´t have any other ide drives connected.

LOL this is the worst t thing could happen for sf guys... THEY KNEW brothers in arms 1 was cracked and they should have told gearbox "hey, be carefull, modify your executable or starforce protection is useless here!"...
really can't imagine what happened, but this is sad for real for starforce people. cuz the bia 1.0 executable is exactly the bia2 cracked executable. this is not only a disaster for this game, but also for the whole protection scheme; groups have now the sf protected executable and the unprotected one to compare to understand the new vm.
never seen this noobness in the game protection scene

Exactly. The two exes differ in about 200K in size. That's all StarForce code. Besides, this is StarForce 3.6, the newest one, not an easy nor an old one. So, cracking this one would open the doors to all StarForce titles on the market at the moment. Maybe they themselves have put an end to their own protection. Russians, I love these people! probably sf guys never imagined that gearbox would have just added some new maps and sounds and use the same executable, dll, textures, weapons and stuff.
this is what they get for trying to sell and exansion pack at full price.

Mhhh... the StarForce code should be slightly more complicated than that, I doubt it would fit into those 200K...
What we could learn by analyzing them is how to *bypass* StarForce, which is exactly what we are all looking for Wink

Anyway, this is a serious contestant for the Darwin Award 2005 Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

True but if the old EXE works as a crack well then all the starforce is in the main 200kb exe??? I think its logical rthis could exploit a sorta loop hole in the starforce protection, there must after all be some advanced way to remove the newer starforce

If this old BIA exe is not going to crash in any part of the game, I promise to eat my hat and as a bonus, fill it with horse shit before doing so.
Groups have had demo exes without protection, they have cracked exes and took out protection before, they know how the protection works, this is no breagthrough as some of you guys seem to think.
It is the virtual machine and encryption which takes so much time, they know how this protection works.

just to make it clear for everyone: brothers in arms 1.0 crack by hoodlum works as a NODVD crack also for earned in blood. i was playing the game with my retail dvd, i used this cracked exe and i'm going on playing without the disc in the drive. no problem at all, is a proper nodvd crack...

hats off to sf guys

No, I think that the StarForce code is spread all over the files.
What is bypassed is the initial call, that is obviously not present in the old exe.
StarForce is still there, but never activated.
There can be other calls during the game, that's why we need extensive tests, not only in the SP part but also the MP.

This is very promising, and also funny as shit
