After playing the game on highest difficulty for the past week or so, I can finally comment on the game.
Parts of it are impressive but there is always a downside.
normal pass and high passes fee wonderful and precise but through balls are insanely tough to pull of unless its a straight line or a diagonal pass, and even then, they take a lot of skill and luck.
Same with shooting. It seems almost impossible to score from far out, and even up close, you can somehow miss often, or the goalie does an astronomical save.
Players, especially the known ones are fantastically made. Olic and Mandzukic in Croatia are so almost life life in their animation.
Physics are impressive most of the time, but laughable in occasional situations. you will be pushed by balotelli 20 feet back and will teleport there, and stuff like that.
Goalies can be amazing, especially since its tough to shoot, even for the PC. But again as all in this game, they will mess up the easiest stuff often: Ball goes through their hands, or they fall on the ground even though defender trapped the ball ages ago.
Pc goalie passed the ball to my offense a few times, etc.
I mainly played world cup, on highest difficulty with croatia. Finally won today for the first time. In that regard, the game is easier then older ones, since I can still lose in ISS pro 1 after months of playing.
Computer often cheats as usual in Pro evo. There are laughable situations where you will surround the PC with 4 of your guys all pressuring, but the ball will stay glued to his feet. Looks comical. Or they score silly goals, where they pass from their penalty box onto a head in the middle, and into an oncoming solo attacker that always bypasses your offside cause of one defender that is so far out of play you cant control him ever.
Had few goals scored on me where the ball would stop 3 meters away from my goal. 3 of my defenders stood around the ball twitching, goalie was in recover animation while they just walked the ball in the net.
But overall its very addictive. When you wiggle around with the new dribble system that is so natural. no combos needed, those are just extra, you can do feints just by skilled left stick movement and good player stats.
If they finally listen to some feedback and build on this engine, we could have a new ISS pro 1.

I really like it but there are some aspects that didn't get tested properly or were rushed a bit, like the goalkeepers' AI, the unbalanced higher levels of difficulty and responsiveness both when it comes to switching players and sprinting (with the infamous on-rail effect).
The new patch definitely improved the situation, so if you haven't installed it, do it asap . For example, now headers and one-touches are performed instantly just like in Fifa, with no more delays. Passing feels better too. It's still a "rough" football game...but the potential is there!

I'm using the mini-image + SCSI (Daemon Tools Lite) and works just fine for me (though some users seem to have problems).
the one before 1.04, but it has tons of bugs the 1.04 doesnt have. I seem to have new problems with 1.04. I cant press the player runs button for my teammates to make opening runs when Im yet to reach an open ball with my player. It makes me lose the currently chosen player fucking everything up. But I need to press the run button before I reach the ball so my teammates wouldnt be late. The catchup bug is still there, tho they said its fixed. It might be a bit less annoying, but I still cant run away from slow big fucks with messi. My speed just gets halved suddenly. First touch shit works at least. also, enemies seem to have ball glued to feet at times.
