Your memory is massively flawed and I'm done wasting my time arguing with you, the simple fact is; feedback was hugely negative about the game and pretty much every aspect that we *knew* of until the leak came out, that was when people realised how good the game was in spite (key words) of the changes that were causing so much irritation before.
Right after the very first TEASER trailer that didn't show a single bit of gameplay footage;
> "Do want"
then
> "As I said earlier in the thread, about the dumbing down and streamlining of the game from what info we've been given, I'm still dubious about this. I still WANT it of course, but I'm not superhappy hyped :\"
... and then it just went downhill as the gameplay and other trailers were revealed and we saw not a Deus Ex game, but a shooter with Deus Ex name. It was only the leak that changed most people's minds. So rather than just cherry-picking one post of mine, why not read the rest? Why not read the rest, since you so claimed, from everyone else? Also using the "hardcore fans will bitch" excuse is cheap and pointless. Of course the casual derpas aren't going to complain, they're getting a game tailored to them - those aren't the opinions you listen to, you listen to the fans.

I don't know what to think about that trailer. I get a "this could be fun vibe", but the old fan in me says "no Thief game should have such fast gameplay" :/ It looks more like an action game now.
It also looks bad graphically imo, but it's the console version.

I get "meh" vibe.
The whole 5min gameplay looks like "entering an animation"... "exiting an animation"
Couldnt their animations be more fluid and varied

Every time I start seeing some positivity out of the tunnel they come up with these videos 
Among the other things I've noticed that now climbing and fake jumping works just like in the AC games. Press the universal buhon and the awesome happens. Nice
